So, I went to school for audio engineering/music production, and it's part of how I make a living these days. Here's how most of these incredible live mixes happen: They record the mics/DIs into a DAW, straight from the mixing board at the show. After they record, someone does a mix of the show to be able to hear the performance in the most epic way possible. It includes the normal stuff: eliminating mic bleed, levels, EQ, compression, time-based effects, etc. They don't usually "doctor" any performances though, especially with a band like this where there aren't any clean vocals to use pitch correction on. Knocked Loose truly is this good live.

Those vocals...only can take so much. The rest of the band is awesome.

Opeth playing Deliverance live is one of the most brutal grooves/outtro you can ever find.

I think you’d really dig what Vildhjarta does, their album Masstaden is great, I’d check out All These Feelings, also The Dahli Thundering Concept’s album Savages blends a couple elements of different genres but they’re mainly a metal band, I’d check out Flying With The Sheperds or Blessed With Boredom

Also Animals As Leaders would be great too, or early Monuments, there’s a video of John Browne performing Doxa for EMGTV and his technicality is truly inspiring

Vildhjarta has some of the filthiest riffs in music today

The band that did that repeating dissonant chord first is Meshuggah on the track “Future Breed Machine”. I think that’s what you were looking for.

This is one of my favorite bands of all time now. They come from the hardcore scene which is why they are so much about crowd interaction and that "get up here" type of shit. No need to teach anything... They're playing in like Drop A on 7 strings. You should check out the band Kublai Khan and their song "The Hammer" for similar stuff to this.
