    Love your videos and the passion for educating people... BUT.. after you explain it to me and I finally know what product I need to use (Colloidal Silica), where do I get it? I really think you should put in your description where to purchase because we trust your curation of where to buy these products. I have purchased Colloidal Silica on amazon twice and it was Fumed Silica :(. HELP

    Great video Dr.
    Have some questions after watching your video.
    1. Which one is the best silica to be used in concrete technology /readymix plants ? Is it silica fume (the by product) or the manufactured silica?
    2. I have noted silica fume having grey shade (blackish grey/like cement) whereas the manufactured silica is white or half white and sometimes in other different light color shade. Does the color difference make any impact in the final product and raise question from customer in terms of product standard?
    3. Which one of them Is ideal for results over longer period of time when used.
    4. Any idea which kind of silica does the concrete technology market demand ? Or does it vary region to region?

    There are a few instances where large particles of silica fume or agglomerated silica fume particles act as alkali-reactive particles and can cause microcracks around them. I bet we won't see that problem with colloidal silica.

      There are some instances where too much of a very particle can cause problems.

    Hello . Is there any difference between collodial silica and nano silica powder?

    What’s the benefit to using both?

    • @IntelligentConcrete
      @IntelligentConcrete  Před 2 lety

      Howdy Matt!!! I hope all is well. Shoot me message on LinkedIn for catch up when time permits. Using both, in balance, can lead a denser mix similar to when combining different gradations of aggregate. The difference being the pozzolanic reaction from both the nano and micro silica.

    I am told that colloidal silica's are a 1 & done! And Solanes are the better choice.
