This is *sick,* thanks for sharing! I have mixed feelings about Timeless becoming way more powerful (esp with the pitch elementals) but these decks seem cool

Yoo thanks! Yeah I'm really excited for that one, it looks like it should have some really busted starts, early hand disruption, and good ability to grind into longer games which is a scary combination.
Great decklists, really excited for MH3. One deck not mentioned here that I'm looking forward to is Mono Black Scam. Grief, Troll, Reanimate, Flare of Malice, Bowmasters, Shelly, Ring and friends. I expect scammed Grief with Flare of Malice to be very good.
I feel like there’s a build of mono black that can play Phyrexian Tower + Necropotence as well. Obviously need some ways to gain life but Tower with Grief and Bowmasters enables some pretty explosive stuff
Can't wait to see some videos for any or all of these decks. I just crafted Omnath Beanstalk for Timeless and Primal Prayers combo for Historic and they've both been sick, especially Primal Prayers. I just replaced Solitude with Moon-Blessed Cleric for more combo consistency and Utopia Sprawl with Adventurous Impulse(since you only have a maximum of 9 forests in the deck in Historic with 1 basic and 8 shock lands) and it's been absolutely dominating.

I'm surprised to not see an Affinity list for Historic. Seems like it could be pretty good there.
still missing some critical enablers mainly high synergy, impactful, cheap artifacts ie mox opal, signal pest, memnite, inkmoth nexus, and some of the better payoffs like ravager and cranial plating (with their instant speed combat tricks). Current affinity is a clunky card draw value engine minus thoughtcast with not enough efficient payoff IMO. I want it bad but we haven't hit a critical mass of enablers and payoff yet.
Really excited to see what comes of primal prayers, personally really liek the ascererak wincon as you not only have the prayer route, but can also use urzas incubator + relic of legends as an alternative way to combo with dark ritual that can eb set up insanely fast (t1 land ritual into relic into deathrite then t2 land incubator win....) Also we pretty much get the rescaminator list from legacy with grief trol reanimate in a dimir package + harbinger in sideboard should make it quite powerfull. it's a top tier deck in legacy for a reason... pretty much only missing force of will
Hey Alth, awesome list! Was wondering for the phelia blink list what lands you would bring in for the 4 lorien revealed if you are switching out for recruiter? Super excited to play the list and have a lack of wildcards so would be awesome to know the best way to spend them. Keep up the awesome work
Some other playable vampires for Historic & Timeless Sorin decks: Dusk's Landing, Citystalker Connoisseur, Black Market Connections, Legion Reconsecrator -- those are all on Arena and not Modern. Nighthawk Scavenger is also legal back to Pioneer.
Great Video! Lots of cool decks to try here, I really like that esper blink list. I'm curious why you aren't running bowmasters though because it seems perfect in the deck as another card to blink with ephemerate, and also it's obviously just super good against anyone trying to draw a lot of cards.
Yoo thanks! I did consider Bowmasters but everything else felt more important and it's also not the highest impact card to blink since I don't think many decks will be running x/1s with the addition of Fury so most of the time it will just ping for 1 and grow the army but I could def see it in the sideboard to bring against Brainstorm decks, or maybe maindeck if a lot of decks are running draw effects although I'm not sure what I'd cut to make room.
Got my popcorn ready. But I must comment before finishing. You never mentioned including persist in Scam. Any reason to leave that out? I feel like it would be solid.

I'm saving my wildcards to craft the deck list you usually shares, I hope you can share a complete run throughtout the lader, I know lifes comes firts but it would be amazing if you could share a video per week lol of you going throught ranks or the events you are playing in, congrats for the quality if your content
Yoo thanks! The upload schedule should be a lot more regular after MH3 with at least one video a week hopefully more! The past few weeks were a bit of an exception since it didn't really feel worth brewing in Historic & Timeless since MH3 will likely change the metagame so much, Alchemy seems like Heist vs Legends which I've already made a vid on, and I'm keeping my Explorer prep under wraps for the qualifier so going forwards uploads should be a lot more consistent after MH3 drops.
As a Dredge lover, I'm very excited, but I don't think that the deck is playable in a Grief meta because usually your hand has 2 playable cards. In Historic, on the other hand, the deck is much more promising. Right now I'm at 70% win rate since I put Prismatic Vista in the deck. Ripples is gonna be huge!
Would love to know which decks of these you predict will thrive in Bo1!

Yoo thanks for the suggestion! I did do something like that for the set review articles I made which were in 3 parts and had all of these decklists spread across them but I probably could have uploaded videos alongside them and split this up into several parts too so will definitely consider that in future.
Surprised to not see a historic eldrazi list. I play more timeless than historic, but I don't think ugin's labyrinth has enough support in that format right now, so I brewed up a historic eldrazi list.

Necrodomanince seems like a huge power outlier in historic, feels like you could slot it right into rb midrange?
Yeah that's a great shout and that's another list I'm working on at the moment but didn't have time to finish for the articles/ this video. Necrodominance alongside Sheoldred seems really strong, especially when Bowmasters isn't really a factor in Historic.
Re Temur Raptor: Is there a reason you didn't include Jegantha? Do you value the sideboard slot more?
What do you think about Nadu, winged wosdom? Ive seen other creators call it the best card in the set, did you do any theorycrafting around that?

Sorry for the lack of updates recently, it didn't really feel worth brewing in Timeless or Historic with MH3 coming so my main focus has been on set reviews articles and theorycrafting decklists the past few weeks. I'm gonna be playing non-stop when MH3 drops though so should have a lot more regular uploads and deck guides, so excited for it to drop!
Im holding off on crafting until timeless gets sorted out.
Way too much in the air, although im suspecting grief is a about to become a mainstay card of the format.
Scam just looks to good without access to FoW and FoN.
Yeah I think Grief is gonna be a big player since the package of Grief + Reanimate + Troll of Khazad-dûm is so easy to slot into a lot of decks. Having said that I don't think Grief will be as bad in Timeless as it is in Modern because we have Lurrus, Yorion, Beanstalk, Dig Through Time, and Treasure Cruise which are all great ways to recover from an early Grief.

Love the deck, but there's no reason to play it over the show and tell combo deck I feel like.

@@anannoyedpanda Yo no worries, appreciate that! Yeah I could see Breach doing well since it also gets to run the Grief package expect it gets a combo finish rather than relying on midrange threats.
Show and Tell is likely to struggle more vs discard and counterspells but Shifting Woodland could help rectify that if you can enable it consistently.
Overall it's gonna be really hard to predict how well any deck's gonna do though because there's gonna be so many new moving pieces and I expect the meta to change in a massive way so holding wildcards until the meta becomes more clear could be a good shout, but I imagine the midrange core with Grief will be good no matter what.
