Pronouncing little, potato as liddle or podado is done by the Americans rather than the British.
      It's called glottal stop.

I just met a new neighbor. She is Nigerian. I found it odd that this young woman had a Queen's English styled British accent. I hadn't realized that she was feigning a British accent. I have been around Nigerians my whole life, and this was the first time I heard anyone speak like this. She left Nigeria at 16 and spent 8 years in the US Deep South. I quickly learned that she was contrived in other ways. This video was my first in several checks to see if I was on to something. Glad I popped by, and great video. Very happy and positive.

We Nigerians have a way of mixing English language and Education together which is wrong and uninformed. Learning a language is quite different from having a formal education. Speaking very good English is just the same as speaking very good Spanish or French. Remember Chinese, Germans, French, Indians and others who had their formal education in their indigenous language. If you meet them outside and they can’t communicate in English, will that mean they’re illiterate?
Well this is a response to what the mother said about “pronouncing THREE and learned people”
We have bunch of brilliant people in Nigeria who can’t speak good English but they’re doing great in their tasks and I also know lots of British and Americans who can’t speak/write a complete sentence correctly in English (where would you group these set of people)??

In terms of the " T " , The Nigerian accent is more coreect. Cos what the Nigerians pronounce with the "T " is the standard accent of English. All what she did is correct but that is called "Tapping" in English, kind of slangs, stylish and impatience to speak correctly and so it became accepted in English. English tapping is even padonable as it is only T and D in some cases, But Germans tap even the "CH" and more. So This tapping is what i will say the English stole from the Germans... In an international submit or meeting, you can't be stylishly tapping your words like that all the time and again, if she were a British singer and she sings with those tapping accent, don't think she will have any fan and not even the British fans... your mother spoke more correctly with those "T" words and not because i am a Nigerian.

Every "T" and "D" sound u hear when they are singing . Only when they are talking is different. Check out Pink Floyd, Adele, James Blunt and westlife.

Go listen to the singers that made Brtish music: Like Elton John, cold play, Lighthouse Family, Seal, sam smith etc. Don' t call the Hiphop or rnb artist. Cos these ones will be immitating American accent.
