      @@conormayweather5474Give or take. So pay $20k for a 200k mile 7.3, or $12k for a probably running perfectly fine 6.0 with 100k miles and drive it till it blows and bulletproof it or do it immediately. Boom $17k in the truck, just as reliable, newer, rides nicer, good fuel economy and more power. The amount people sell 7.3s for now is killing the point of why people loved them.

      Exactly! I have a 2000 F550 that I bought for $17k this year with only 150k miles, I'm getting ready to do a full 2018 conversion of the interior and exterior. I love the body style, but I don't even like the newer diesel engines. This is my 3rd 7.3l powerstroke because my first one got totaled by a Volvo and I sold my 2nd 😢 regret it ever since. Now I have an F550 I will never part with, so I'm going to turn it into the truck of my dreams.

    *doing this now and my front bumper looks like yours at the **4:19** and **4:20** mark where you can see the fender mount hole right where the bumper and fender meet. I see you were able to move the bumper up, im curious what you did to move it up. I also have the factory foglight in the bumper, I noticed that clearance is an issue. I have spacers in there now to help move the bracket from the fog light bucket. This moves the bumper forward but im trying to avoid moving it forward much more due to the offset of the curve of the wheel well between the bumper and fender. What adjustments did you make to get the bumper up higher to close that gap? Did you make new mounting holes? The very last picture you show at **4:24** is what im trying to get to (smaller gap). I have the mcnasty bumper bracket kit also. Any info is greatly appreciated, great video!*

      @wildingarage2003  Před 3 lety +2

      For the front bumper I ended up just mounting it directly to the old bumper mount that’s notched out but I only used the bottom mounting hole on Each side to mount it, I had the mcnasty bumper bracket also but when I tried to use it my bumper wouldn’t look right and had a bigger gap like how you explained yours.

      Personally I think a cab swap would be way more involved because you have wiring,and other sensors on one cab that’s not on the other ect,plus you’d have to swap the vin from the old cab to the new one to be in compliance with emissions, the only way I’d say it’d be worth it is if you got a cheap rust free complete donor truck and a lot of time to do the swap lol , but it’d definitely be easier to just do the front clip.
