    After ordering four tablet holders for my Lowery from Amazon and none of them working, I returned them (I know Amazon must love me). I finally ordered this one after seeing the recommendation on facebook and it is a miracle. It is the only one that didn't immediately fall forward when I put my tablet in it. Thank you so much!! By the way, I contacted Lowery and they told me they were developing a tablet holder to be available January 2023🙃

    Thank you so much for this video. Thanks to you, I ordered this for my Calin stand (same as Lowrey but made in Turkey) but I situated my holder to halfway down the stand instead of the top. My stand doesn't go over the sofa arm like yours and I am shorter, instead my stand sits in front of the sofa which works better for me. Thanks for the great tip!

    Ooh I wondered about this when you showed it in your other video! Looks like it will be a very helpful addition to my stitching equipment. Thanks so much for this! xoxo, Jen

    This was helpful. I have to use a TV tray if I stitch on my couch with my iPad. Thanks Gerald!

    I know this video is super old, but I just bought my first Lowery stand. Is there a way to turn the section that holds your ipad so it faces you instead of it being straight forward? I am at a loss. I need the stand to be straight and the holder to turn.

    Hi Gerald. You have a high sided sofa arm like me. But I can’t use my Lowery on it as my work is so high up. Any chance of showing us how high your stitching is to your face. Thanks for the video.

      I would be glad to! I will add it in to my update video this week if I have a chance to record it. I will give you a hint, I do sit on a pillow to raise me up a bit and also for a bit more solidness to sit on as my couch pillows are very soft.

    Thank you much for this review. I think I may need to get one! Looks like a very handy helper to have. Also, do you ever do needlepoint? I've been doing it for a very long time but don't think I'm doing it correctly. I don't always follow the rules but it looks good to me so guess it doesn't matter. (The back of my cross stitch isn't always neat and I travel.) Good info.............

    Hi Gerald, do you know if this would work with a 12.9 inch iPad Pro?

  • @m0ther0ne

    The pad holder looks big enough to hold a magnetic board. Is it? This would be cheaper than Lowry’s magnetic holder and board.

    I just received one of these today and I do like it; except it doesn't grip the bar on the Lowery very well and keeps toppling over. You mentioned this in your video and I'm wondering if you found a resolution for this problem?

    • @gingergerald
      @gingergerald  Před 4 lety +2

      As long as I screw it on really really tight it does stay. You just really have to tighten it hard.

    Good morning! I was wondering if you would talk about the Ominik frame and the side bar sizes. I have the two longer horizontal frames and the 12 inch (I believe they are) side bars. I was stitching And a Forest Grew, but it was so uncomfortable to reach up so far to do the top part of the pattern. And it seemed so cumbersome to flip to the back to end threads or fix knots. I purchased the adapter to bring work closer to where I sit and help support the weight, but got the smaller size not realizing the 12 inch side bars would extend too tall for it to fit. Before I invest in shorter side bars and the longer frame adapter, I was hoping for you to share thoughts on maybe a stitchalong? I know you are requesting things to talk about 😀. Love your channel. You almost got me knitting, but I resisted (just barely).

      Ginger Gerald Stitcher 😀 And what about sharing your one over one thoughts? I often get those pesky loop knots that I don’t even know I’ve done until I turn over to end thread! I know you’ve said you don’t experience knotted floss too often. I wonder if you slightly twist your needle (I remember Nell sharing something like that) to avoid twisting the floss? Or maybe dropping the needle to let it unwind? I’ve tried Vonna’s method as well. Just wondering if you had anything else to add? Blessings, Kim

    Hi Gerald.. thank you for the review. Will it be a tad heavy if you place your Omnik frame ? I have a Millenium frame + the adapter will this topple down with all the extra weight? Ie iPad...? thank you

    • @gingergerald
      @gingergerald  Před 6 lety

      No not at all! I have used the iPad holder with the Omanik Frame and have had no problems. You just need to ensure you have enough weight on the base of your floor stand to provide support.

    I've just started using my tablet for patterns and came across your video at the right time. Are you using the extended arm on your stand or the regular arm? I only use the regular arm so Idk if there's enough room on the regular arm to use the iPad holder and the clamp. I wouldn't want to order it and it be crowded on my stand.

    • @gingergerald
      @gingergerald  Před 6 lety

      I use the extended one because the regular one will not reach over the arm of my couch comfortably. I am fairly certain you would have ample space with either. But that is a personal preference decision you need to make.
