    Christine this was the best video I've already seen regarding floor stand. You made exactly what I needed to see because what we really need is to see how those things work on the seat when we are stitching. We want to see the sofa, the position of our shoulders, our back and so on. Sometimes we find videos showing the product, but it's not enough, we need to see in the local of working, hahaha. And you made it! Thank you so much. You're the best. Happy Stitching. Miriam

    I just love your videos. You are always so imformative. I am not even in the market for a stand, and I watched the whole thing. I totally see how the Ks Creation can be way more adjustable, but wow, was not expecting that price tag!

      Thank you! When I first started looking for the stands I suffered some sticker shock at the price tag of that stand too! I was absolutely dumbfounded when my friend gave me hers, knowing how much it was! It's a really great stand though, and I love it a little more than the Lowery, but given the cost it would not be something my budget could handle. So I feel blessed to have gotten it for free!

I haven't gotten my stitchey spot just right and I want to see how other people sit and arrange their area. Your space looks wonderful and comfortable. I also love your enthusiasm. Thank you again. I purchased my Lowery Floor Stand from Sew and Sew through Amazon. They also have a wooden accessory called Lowery Long Frame Adapter. It is on sale at Sew and Sew, less than forty dollars. You Tube has two videos showing the versatility of the adapter with a scroll or Rolaframe. You do not use the clamp to hold the side bars,the clamp holds the adapter. Wooden rods sit in metal "seats" on the adapter. The adapter is worth every cent and is beautiful. I think you would really enjoy how it makes the longer rods more sturdy. Love your work, love your Flosstube- have binge watched for two days. Glenda in Tennessee

    Great review. One small item, though. You can find K's Creations on Etsy and they run from around $160 up to $250 or so. If you look around, they're available. My husband got mine this year for a Christmas/birthday gift and he paid $190. I'm blown away by the quality and adjustability. I stitch at my desk and am constantly moving the stand around. Love this stand! And love how you did your review (still sorry about the beer..oh no!) Not many out there have both products and are doing reviews. Thank you!

    I have three stands... the needlework 4 stand, Monsterik stand, and the Lowery stand. I love the Lowery - works well for what I’m working on now, and sits nicely on the side of my chair. The other two, while they work well, they are just so big and there is no place to store them between stitching sessions.

    This video was exactly what I was looking for! I currently have a K's Creations floor stand and was considering a Lowery because it appears sleeker to fit better between the sofa recliner and the end table without a big gap. After watching your video I realized how awkward it would be to adjust the height on the Lowery without first moving the table. The K's Creations is simply the turn of a knob. I also realized how much more flexible the clamp on the rollerball is than the simple rotation of the Lowery stand. The roller ball allows for more room between me and my magnifying light. Looks like I can stop shopping now. When does that happen? Thank you for this highly informative comparison!

    • @StitchALLTheThings
      @StitchALLTheThings  Před rokem +1

      I am so glad this was helpful to you! I still find I use the K's way more frequently than the Lowery. Those extra adjustable points really do make all the difference!

    Really great video, thanks for taking the time to share, Christine! I recently bought the K's Creations with some birthday money (and luckily not for $300!). I really like it a lot because of all the ways you can adjust it. The Lowery also looks to be a fantastic stand. Since you have both, when do you use one vs. the other? Are there certain projects that you think work better for you on a particular stand? Or do you take one traveling? I assume the Lowery would be more portable.

    • @StitchALLTheThings
      @StitchALLTheThings  Před 6 lety

      Hi, Misty! I end up using the K's Creation most of the time since that stays in my stitchy spot. I ended up moving the lowery to the bedroom and use it there if I'm headed to bed, but want to stitch a little before going to sleep. I also take it with us if we end up traveling to Oregon for some vacation time. You're right, it's a bit easier to move around and set up so I don't feel bad about packing that in the car too (along with all the other bazillion things we end up taking).

      Oh, that is so strange! I am not certain where it's being sold now. I know Vonna Pfeiffer bought one a while back on Etsy or eBay, I think. Also, you may have good luck finding a retailer close to you through K's Creations website directly: www.kscreations.com/retailer.php
      I tried to look to see if you could buy it from K's, but I couldn't see how to purchase it on the website. They may sell them, but you'd have to contact them to be sure.

      Thank you so much for replying. Yeah, K's Creations does not sell direct, only to distributors. I found the K's frame on Etsy for $50 including shipping. My other choice was a brick and mortar store for $75 plus the 30 miles I had to drive to get there plus the time it will take to fight the traffic. I think the K's frame is going extinct. I may have to up grade to a Quantium frame by the Omanik Factory or a Millennium frame, which takes forever and a day to get to you. Ta ta for now have a good one!!! I like to share with you what I have on hand, I have the Lowry (brilliant buy and agree with you) it works brilliantly and very no mess design. With that, I have the Millennium frames which is the best buy I have ever purchased and its from UK, handmade by the owner, with that, I bought two adapters, now with this contraption, it holds any long/short frames such as yours perfectly, without it slanting so. Do pardon me if I don't explain myself well, but it does holds the position and weight without the slouch. These adapters I purchased from Sewandso. Hope this was clear but thank you so much for sharing and taking time to demonstrate.

    I got the K's creation stand cheaper than the Lowery (thank goodness) and I really like it.However, I would like to invest in the Lowery to offer travel options. I also stitch in a recliner but sometimes sit in my kitchen chairs, etc. It looks like the Lowery is coming up off the floor from the weight of the needlework frames, does this happen if the frame is not underneath something solid to hold it in place? I also wonder about the way the Lowery has predetermined height adjustments. Do you ever want it to sit an half inch higher or lower? I'm new to your videos and have subscribed after watching this. I have that same set of super magnifying glasses you moved to your end table at the beginning!! They are amazing and could never my 25ct HAED project without it.

    • @StitchALLTheThings
      @StitchALLTheThings  Před 6 lety

      Yes, the Lowery does come up off the floor if my scroll frame is too heavy. The K's does that sometimes too, but not as often since its base is heavier. If I need a small adjustment like a half inch or so, then I will lower or raise the scroll frame in the clamp as opposed to adjusting the height of the bar. I hope this helps you!

      I have the Lowery which I like very much, and had no idea the Kay's Creation stand was so similar. Aside from the price difference, I’ve heard Kay's customer service has declined. I can’t stitch in my recliner with my Lowery as high up as you have yours because I have old eyes and have to have my magnifier light between my stand and my face so I can see to stitch lol. Thanks for sharing Christine!

    • @StitchALLTheThings
      @StitchALLTheThings  Před 6 lety

      Oh, wow, I hadn't heard that. That is really too bad. I do love them both, but wanted people to see the differences since the functionality was basically the same, the K's just had a bit more adjustability than the Lowery. Hopefully it helps others in the decision making process! For some people that difference is going to be worth the price increase and for others it won't be worth it at all. And I keep my Lowery higher up too! I do like my stitching pretty much right in front of my face because I can't see the stitching either!

      @StitchALLTheThings  Před 2 lety +1

      I don't use any special piece, and it holds my Qsnap well. I think with the corner add-on piece it may hold the Qsnap in place a bit differently, giving you more room to work on your stitching. It was just an extra item I chose not to buy for my stand, but spent it on patterns instead. 😂😂😂

    • @StitchALLTheThings
      @StitchALLTheThings  Před 6 měsíci +1

      Hands down, I would buy the K's. I don't notice wobble issues with either, but I have always put a magnifier LED lamp on both bases when I use them. The K's base feels heavier, so I think that would likely mean less wobble.
