Can a cistern owner install an old fashion manual pump with a handle? That is all I would need to feel ok in case of component failure ....so long as I can get water somehow! Would get old but also would be satisfying to be able to get by no matter what...

What a load of shit. Way too complicated. Whatever happened to having a simple filtration system and pump with water flow regulator?
