the beginning of this show like season 1-4 stressed me out so much that whenever they fight i’m scared they are gonna leave each other
this is all the more heartbreaking when you realize he did the entire trial only for her... to find a cure for Alzhiemer's.
For those defending Meredith, Let’s not forget why Derek began the trial in the first place - maybe this is not as much a moral question for him as it is a realization that without the trial he could lose Mer to the disease. It might be easier for him to get angry than to be scared.
Maybe he shouldn't have started the trial in the first place, too personal. Clouds his judgement. Plus there's his ego to think about.

@@ladyanime100 Mereidth was the one being personal. Her choice that she did was a personal choice that could have cost the hospital a huge lawsuit. Derek's job, Richard's job.
It's definitely her fault, not Derek.
meredith is totally on the wrong. she had a point and she had a great motive but she was still wrong. derek truly is trying. he’s a jerk at times but he was right here and even when they’re fighting, you can tell his heart is still exploding with his love for her.
He had every right to be pissed idc idc. She needed to be told about herself and he did that.

@@stupidbrainman6196 but it was a trial, there are no guarantees in a clinical trial. Plus the entire trial had to be thrown away causing other hundres of alzheimer's patients to miss out..its the same as when Izzie cut the LVAD wire and forced another patient to miss out on a heart.
@@stupidbrainman6196 She switched the drugs and made another patient get the wrong drug. That patient is someone’s wife or husband too. How would you feel if you got the wrong drug cuz a doctor switched it for a friend?? It doesn’t matter why she did it but what she did was wrong.
And she never even thought of how it would affect Derek’s career

Derek has his faults but Meredith was so wrong on this one. If the roles had been reversed here MerDer would've gotten a divorce for sure.
He had every right to be mad. And the most annoying thing was that up on till this moment, she wasn’t sorry for what she did.
I remember how he was applying for grants to fund this trial and she just messed it up without even thinking about how he would feel about it or how it would affect Derek’s career. She was being selfish

People keep defending Meredith, and that she saved Richard's wife. What about the other life, the other human being who did get the trial fair and square? This is where promises, oaths come hard to keep. I feel strongly bad for doctors because I know they must be put in situations like this all the time but I can't, I can't be on Meredith's side. She's so impulsive and exactly how Derek said, she never suffers the consequences of her actions. I freaking loved Derek and Baily in these episodes, they were right to be furious at Mer.
Meredith stole a medicine from another patient and made the patient get the wrong medicine. Before you say it’s Richard’s wife, the patient is someone’s wife/husband too.
And she didn’t think of how it would affect Derek’s career, that’s selfish

Am I the only one thats on Meredith's side here? What she did for Adele was risky and impulsive but she did it out of the goodness of her heart. Her and Derek had been trying to have kids for a while and she had a miscarriage and everything so hell yea she irrationally stole her soon to be foster daughter. We all act like we're perfect as viewers but we probably would've done the same thing. Meredith is a flawed character but she is still kind hearted and didn't deserve the cold shoulder from Derek when she was punishing and blaiming herself already. He basically would kick her while she was down. And is it just me? Everytime Derek made a mistake Meredith was quick to forgive him cause he's the love of her life. But someone could walk up to Derek and say "we think your wife killed so and so" and he wouldn't defend her at all. He would believe them right away. Its okay, yall are entitled to yall opinions but jeez stop being so small minded. Greys Anatomy is whats called a 'program' and Meredith represents an average American human being that isn't perfect. If yall took the time to pay attention you'd notice the real narcissist here is Derek for various reasons. I'd be glad to link to everyone all of the clips where he was a dick to Meredith for no reason on.

Not to mention the reason Derek started the trail is because he was scared she might inherit her mother’s disease. HE HAS EVERY RIGHT TO BE MAD. She was the one being a dick in this situation

@@trillxfizzy Unintentional???! She knew exactly what she was doing and she did it anyway. Remember they had a discussion about it when she kept pressuring him to give Adele the drug. He told her that it’ll affect the trail and their careers would be at stake for it. And yet she did it. In a real world, she would have lost her license for that cuz she risked the life of another patient.
I never said Derek was perfect, he screwed up a lot of times but in the situation Meredith messed up. The trail was shut down, he lost his reputation, he got blacklisted by the FDA and can’t do any clinical trials again and to top it all, he lost custody of his child. All these were caused by Meredith. And you expect him to just buy her flowers for screwing up his life??
Even if she stole the drug for mother, it’s still wrong. There’s a reason why doctors don’t treat family members.
