They said the person was a succubus or incubus that had manipulated them by the use of magic, and had the person burnt on the stake and the Munk or nun went on to live their life without any penalty....

Karen people don’t follow Christianity because of some cultist sneaking into it. The majority of people follow because of the truths it reveals about life on Earth and how it manifests around us leading us to healthier lives. The truth you read in the Bible you’ll find them to be self evident when your honestly living and spiritually connected. Catholics and Mormons are not all of Christians only denominations, that’s like condemning someone for their siblings actions.

    • @leoki4804
      @leoki4804 Před 4 lety +7

Kaen I’m not sure what your fascination with cults are. It seems your referring to the new way of church’s, where it pushes what is only acceptable by the government for a tax cut. That, people actively reject. The Bible isn’t something people just put together and sat around thinking of, that’s impossible which ever way you slice it. It’s composition in made of multiple scriptures written ages apart from each other going back to the beginning of humans with parable connecting them together. Of course Muslim have a similarity they tried to copy it, but failed because it wasn’t divinely inspired it was human inspired. But your dismissal of scriptures still being found to this day, that gives the creator a way to ease our stress and teach us what school fail to, and media oppresses, that’s confusing why you’d call it a cult? Logos and Rhema are the simplest ways to prove this truth is the life we are meant to lead. The naturalality of how a farmer working tough hours and wants to protect his family could find these truths by paying attention to life’s “ebbs and flows”, that when he needs to know things are alright when he’s stressing a contemplation could give him similar fruits to that of the Psalms, all without someone pushing an agenda at him. Reading the Bible is just that. Proving Yahs path, referred to as Christianity now-a-days is the practice above those religions that actually allows people to find a salvation in this world. Why else would all the others attempt to pervert it with trickery. It’s the only practice (“religion”) that stands against evil.

This is quite interesting. I recently heard Lucifer fell in love with her and she was the one to bite the forbidden fruit but the forbidden fruit wasn't actually a fruit but sex. She slept with Lucifer so God replaced her with Eve. Lucifer then fell in love with Eve as she looked exactly like Lillith. Once again she ate the forbidden fruit (sex with Lucifer) and then gave it to Adam (sex with Adam). Some believe that is the reason why she had two kids. Cain was Lucifer's offspring while Abel was Adam's. Not sure the truth to that but it was highly interesting.

The reason, wargriffin5, is because to many ancient cultures - including the predecessor to the Jews - a name was a very powerful force. It represented not only your identity, but your very sense of self. Your soul, if you will.
In those days, many believed that if an unfriendly source knew your name, it would give them power over you. In some cases, people believed if they spoke their names aloud, there was a possibility it would become lost, and they would become souless as a result. A very terrible fate according to ancient beliefs.
"God" was not referred to as "God" by the Jews of that period. That is, it was not His proper name. An approximation of God's name - which was never, never to be spoken aloud - was Yahweh, or Yahveh. To say it out loud was the height of blasmophy, and there was a distinct possibility a person would be stoned to death by the pious if he or she was overheard speaking it.
Sidenote: Some people believe God's name from the ancient period was "Jehovah." Although Jehovah is today an acceptable alternative to God in many circles, it is actually a mistranslation of the four Hebrew letters that made up Yahweh's name. I can't show those four letters here, but it is known as the Tetragrammaton (Greek, meaning four letters) and examples of it can be found on Wikipedia, if you're interested.
Interestingly enough, the EXACT pronunciation of the Tetragrammaton has been lost. The ancient Hebrews, out of respect and fear, left out the vowels from the name - in addition to not saying it, it was also forbidden to write it out completely. This is a practice which continues even to this day - many Orthodox Jews, out of respect, will write G_D rather than GOD.
As a result, the exact vowels and their arrangements are unknown in modern times because everyone in ancient times knew their placement and how they were pronounced. Yahweh is a close approximation, based on investigation, guesswork, and a bit of scholarly debate.
So when Lilith said God's name out loud when she left the garden, she was in fact committing the ultimate blasphemy against God - throwing it in his face, if you will. Such as act was a challenge to God's authority - a strict no, no, by all the ancient beliefs, no matter how benevolent a deity you happened to worship.
So, because such a blasphemy could not go answered, Lilith was transformed into a demon to plague mankind, and gave us a really great female protagonist in lots of fantasy literature.

I heard a story, one of many, about Lilith. She was the first wife of Adam, and did not wanted to be less than him nor be dominated by him. Lucifer was in love with her, which led him to fall from the heavens. Then Lilith fell in love with him, they we’re equal. God saw this and eliminated Lilith, and created Eve, in similar structures of Lilith, and so Lucifer fell in love with her. He then turned into a snake and enter the Eden, and convinced Eve to make love to him, which is referred to as “the forbidden fruit”.

Lilith was, in my opinion, the best villain in the series. The series follows some fictional “demon hunter” characters and also deals a lot with demons and angles. It’s actually very impressive how accurately the author portrayed these mythologies. Interestingly enough, if you know about a lot of the Christian stories having to do with angels and demons and God and Satan, you can very easily guess how the entire action sequence in the final book will end.

the story I feel in love with
Lilith was derived from hebrew text, the same text the bible came from (supposedly. I haven't fact checked that in so long)
Anyway, story is she was the first woman to be created. She was made from the same sand Adam was. She was his equal.
Things were fine, until later on when it came to love making between them. (This is where the stories start branch off) Lilith took pleasure, in HER pleasure. She had no shame in getting on top, or taking care of buisness while the deed took place.
This angered Adam. The man was to be in control at all times. Womanly pleasure was forbidden.
So in turn, she was "casted" up to God to be either "fixed" or punished for her sins.
During the day she was forced to labor, 100 still born children as her punishment... being that she had always longed to be a mother....
During the night, she was cursed to raid mens dreams an conceive the children she would later that day.... birth.... still...
This is how they explained sexual fantasies, and why men got boners at night... or why woman lost their babies in the womb.... because "Lilith visited them"
She was the first woman to exist that knew her worth.. she never bowed down to any man... not even God himself.
But yes, she is a "demoness" some say she's a Succubus cause the sexual factor.
The baby is "held" by the umbilical cord.. to signify the punishment she has to endure.
It's said if you are pregnant and you miscarry, she took the soul of your child... so that's why.. the other symbol in her other hand is a male appendage.... ripped off... significantly showing how she feels about men.. and also showcases her punishment.... by having to f*ck men in their dream constantly throughout the night, to conceive her 100 children.... that is also why she resorts to stealing some from womb.

Neon Genesis Evangelion has my personal favorite mention of Lilith. The use of Christian/religious concepts is bizarre and fascinating throughout the series, but essentially Lilith was a second seed of life that came to earth in the time of creation and her Spear of Longinus (a failsafe of sorts) was broken in the collision. There's way more to it, but because there was already a seed of life (Adam) on earth and two couldn't be on one planet, his spear activated and he became dormant. From Lilith came the primordial soup that eventually led to humanity. It's insane. You should check it out.

I remember as a teenager reading the verses in the Bible several times over and trying to understand what Lilith did that was so wrong. She was made the same time and same way as Adam so her refusal to submit seemed reasonable. God made male and female everything the first time around. Why couldn't Adam co-exist with her? She never asked him to be under her in the version I read but he clearly asks her to submit to him. Yet later when Eve is made he proudly proclaims how she is made from his rib. Which is sad cause in the garden, even female animals had their own autonomy. Seems to me the real problem was Adam's strange insecurity which sort of gels with the ever present need for masculine domination that still plagues us to this day. My theory is that Adam wanted to be like god so needed something "under" him to dominate. Just a theory but I think it has merit.

its more like Adam wined to god about the only woman not having anything with him like a spoiled brat before god bullies his other child for the whim of the favorite. god: dumb parent. what would i have done if i were god in this case? "now look, im sorry i made you aggressively reproductive . I thought it would be fun to be king of the world, my bad, i was selfish. luckily for you i can come up with some alternatives." now that is concern.
Edit July 21: so someone brought up with respect to the video that lilith was not punished specificly for not submitting to Adam but rather for not returning to the garden. I admit I also overlooked the fact that the punishment was not specified to be for the murder of infants and that generally Lilith, Adam, and the Angels were more focused on dominance than sorting out their problems. Also God was not mentioned as making direct demands. Adam was narsasistic, Lilith was a sociopath, the angels were also sociopaths. I saw how many likes my comment got and I'd like to reflect that its best to admit when we have mistaken and to get along with the facts and each other.

The one who gave birth to everything including the Creator Gods. She's the one Enki went to and asked to breath life into humans. Because in Summerian tablets the Heavenly beings didn't make humans.
