Like minds think alike. BTW we keep dry erase board with categories listed, when ready to go shopping i just take a picture of the list with my smart phone and go!
Wow, you are not lazy, to be so organised you cant be. you should video one of your divide an conquer grocery store sessions, that could be a real laugh...camo, make up, side steps, drop n roll...
I would end up leaving a t-bone in the bottom of the cooler. LOL.

Great system. May I ask why you don't take a photo of your list for shopping instead of copying it on paper?

Curry Powder! I know it takes a bit more space and effort but buy spices separately and blend to taste. Your blend of the day rather than always some one else's. Start with ground Cumin, Corriander and Turmeric in a ration 2, 2 and 1. Then chilly or mustard seed to taste ( for "Heat") Then play around. Add ginger or whatever and you have a kit for many different flavours.
I do for many dishes but for chicken salad I've always used curry power. I use if for nothing else. - C
