She’s so entertaining to watch. Her relationship with her son is so funny 🤣 She should have her own reality show.
I’d definitely watch it!
I’d 100%watch
If watch
I agree.
I would watch ❤
I'm dead. The honesty is so endearing.
"Do you miss Korean food?"
"Not really"
Well, also, she lives in Houston…. Finding Korean food in Houston is not difficult lol
@@mr.doctorcaptain1124 - APPUNTO!
She assimilated into American culture and didn't associate with other ethnic Koreans because 99% she doesn't have a Korean husband. Make that 99.99%. Koreans are a very homogenous culture and being in a mixed race family would have ostracized her. She thus said 'f that' and never ate Korean food again.
@@mr.doctorcaptain1124I was gonna say, from a big city it shouldn’t be hard to find a couple authentic spots. She clearly didn’t care enough to check in or keep up.. which is fine hahah
if knetz heard that will they bully her? 😂😂😂
I’m impressed this woman is 73 yrs old, still full of life and doing what she’s passionate about GOALS
Believe or not, 73 isn't old.
@@sdays59 average life expectancy is 77 years old. 73 is old. especially in america, on an american diet and lifestyle
Hood has away of keeping older folks younger I swear, or maybe they just work more because of it leading to better overall body health.
So was she is supposed to be in a stretcher?
Fr
lmao he said "mama look! Korean folks! Hit em with some Korean" hahahahaha
😂😂😂
😂😂😂😂😂
That had me tickled, too...!!
I have an uncle who married a real Asian like this 😂😂😂Has to be a culture shock.
I swear that had me dying on the floor laughing 😂
You can tell her son stresses her out 😂
All Korean sons stress their moms out on accident lol
ALL the damn time 😂😂
Not really. That kind of mom-child relationship is actually pretty common among Koreans. They have a stereotype among other Asians for being always angry, but they would just call it being passionate.
Is he adopted?
@@bryant475he’s obviously blasian
Tha fact she hasn't eaten her culture food in 40 yrs and her personality makes me want to know her story she is very funny her and her son is a joy to watch
I think it's a generational thing. My mom came to the US in '73. She makes Korean food, but she lost her language and chose to raise me to be as American as possible. Between American culture at the time and that generation, I think they just didn't see a practical reason to hold onto their culture.
건강하세요 😂😂❤
She like black soul food 🥘 shiDD 😂
50 yrs ago Korean ingredients were very hard to come by in the States, esp if you live in the smaller town and cities. It was prob easier and cheaper just to cook and eat local food. After the Korean War and during the military dictatorships, food in Korea was a lot simpler and were not the same as today, where there’s been an intermixing of different regional Korean and foreign flavours and ingredients as well as modern food processing techniques.
Cuz she knows good food korean food is garbage compared to real American food.
She’s not necessarily hood, she’s just a mamma who ain’t gonna put up with anybody’s BS!!
She reminds me of most Asian women, strong, hard working, kind, and annoyed as hell with their damn kid's shit 😂
They call her hood coz how she talk. Her video went viral awhile back and she was going back n forth with her son.. she seemed Ghetto then. Like she spoke hood but with alil accent. Kinda like Cardi b
She's hood, lol. A hood mama.
No, she's hella hood! All the way down to her fresh kicks!
Exactly 💯 💯
Yoooooo!!!! 🤣😂😂😂😂 I live in Brooklyn, NY….. i’m about to order me a cake from them. The MOM and Son is mad funny and tatted up girl is the one that keeps things about normal. They need a TV show!!! 🤣😂😂😂
For real
At least a CZcams channel
Let’s not SLEEP on Samantha…cause she has been taking in all that Momma Yong has been teaching her. 👍🏾
Did she teach her or did she come to the job with her skillset? Serious question because I don't know anything about them. 😊
@@denisenoles3159, That’s a Great question. It maybe a little of both. However I’m pretty sure The OG’s craftsmanship has been around much longer than whatever Samantha’s skills or presentation to get this position was.If ANY ONE knows a little history behind certain cultures they normally stick with their own culture. Lol
Not sure he's a little boy anymore. I guess you're talking about the Adult Son?
God damit johnatan
That’s just Korean parents 😂
I'd love to see a documentary about her life.
At the young age of 22?? Going to a country thats like literally half around the world and doing bakery? Thats a story to be kept
My guess of her life story - She met a young, black American G.I. stationed in Korea and got pregnant. She got ostracized by the Korean community and moved to the US where she started a new life. She did not want to be reminded of her pain back home so she never mingingled with the Korean diaspora in Houston and never ate Korean food again.
Sadly, due to the lack of mentioning of her husband, she probably got divorced.
This makes her have the 'hood attitude.'
During Post-ww2 and Post Korean War. Most of the American G.I. were stationed in Itaewon.
@@toolbaggersI’m pretty sure her and husband are still married. From last I saw.

Such a cute halmoni. Its sad she doesn’t recognize a lot of the Korean foods but when you realize that she is 70 and left Korean when she was 20, a lot of those foods were uncommon at the time because of the level of poverty many were in.

She’s authentic not a culture vulture 💯💯❤ I’d love to meet her
If you live in America, there is no such thing as culture vulture you dummy, at least not in the way you are using it.
She's a product of her environment. I don't think anyone would ever call her a culture vulture. That's not really how it works. People like the Kardashian's are culture vultures.
WTF are you talking about you think black people are the only people living in the hood? There are Asian and Irish hood in America when black people still working in the plantation for the white people
People are products of their environments and what they are around all the time. That’s why there are white dudes who “act black” and black dudes who “act white”

They need a youtube channel.
Great shop, lovely family and awesome projects from what I've seen.
She reminds me of Auntie Fee. Not only because of her unapologetic, genuine+ vulgar with love way of speaking which creates a casual and humorous environment in the kitchen. And makes good vlogging content. Not to mention she also has an son that aggravates her from the bottom of his heart. RIP.
She is nothing like Auntie Fee. Auntie Fee had no filter. Seemed like she would just say stuff to get a rise out of people or just for attention. Ms Yung is not like that. She only gets upset when here son annoys her. Auntie Fee was at a 10 all the time while Ms. Yung has her calm moments
@@SourStrawberrys Did I say they were the same?. No I said she reminds me of her.
1. The both use vulgar language, and act "Hood".
2. They both make vlogs in the kitchen
3. They are Internet based not TV
4. They both have a son who is the one filming the content.
5. The son is the instigator to get a reaction.
Because of these reasons I said she reminds me of Auntie fee I didn't say she was an exact replica of her. Everybody has their own unique flavor. But she reminds me of her not other older female kitchen personality such as Martha Stewart, Ina Garten, Julia childs, or Paula Deen.
She needs a show and they better pay her right!! 😂😂😂😂😂
