Congrats on the car. A 2011 R8 was my dream too. I finally bought a 2011 V10 Manual transmission R8 last year. More than I wanted to spend but they won’t be making manual V10’s ever again. If you want an auto R8, get a 2014 or newer. In 2014 they switched from the single clutch R-tronic to the dual clutch S-tronic
yep! Gated I expect to hold their value for quite some time.

I love how everyone in their upper 20’s lower 30’s fell in love with the R8 when they first came out. I still remember where and when I first saw one in real life back in 2009. If you have any guidance or connects with finding deal on these please share. Have been looking for one for a while now.

Thought about getting a Gen1 R8, ended up going with a C7 Z06 instead. The interior seemed a bit dated and the V8 is down on power in the modern era, but at least you won't eat the depreciation like me. Plus, its classier.
definitely not a car I would recommend if you don't have a good grasp on where its coming from/history. The older Gen 1s people do all sorts of things to or service out of audi
I’m 20 so this was a dream car for me growing up. Still an awesome car, just seems down on power in the modern era. V10 was bit out of my range or i would’ve done that. The 2014-15 facelift is also nice but carries a premium.

@@TBlake ty! Good to know. I did check carfax and all looks in order. Super clean. Just finished in shop with oil change and service check. Also had a purge valve replaced whatever that may be. Last question and I’ll try to quit bothering you 😂- do these hold their resale value well? In essence if I have it few years and go to sell I won’t be taking too much of a bath so to speak. Ty again. Appreciate the insight.
