Another very effective method is to not think about how to pronounce new sounds. If you listen to the sound and just say it, your brain knows what it heard and will reproduce the sound without you even trying, which is the same way babies learn to speak.
The minute you think about it, you become self-conscious and then struggle.
Just say what comes out of the computer in your brain, it knows what it heard.

My trick was to start by saying “re” - like “repeat” - but while trying to keep the tongue in the “r” position. Americans already place their tongue in the proper position naturally, but when speaking the letter “r.” And, they naturally know the “smile” part of saying the letter “e.” Now, it just needs to be mentally conditioned to combine the same “r” position when saying the letter “e,” WITHOUT taking the tongue out of that position. Two very natural things for Americans, only that are not natural together. 😂

Even better to listen to the sound over and over and just let the brain reproduce it, without thinking about it. Works wonders.😂
I’ve just realized that I did not even try to make the sound, but in my head I know exactly how to say it because I’ve heard several times it while learning the letters via my App.

In Romanian there is î (written as â in the middle of a word). It’s the same sound as in Russian.
No wonder. The Russian alphabet was created by the priests in the Thracian region from northern modern Greece, and Macedonia, and the core of Thracia was ancient Dacia, Romanians being the descendants of them.
Cases are similar also on Russian and Romanian. Could it be because the Black Sea was basically a Thracian sea? Who knows? Russian also has a large portion of words similar with Romanian, derived from Thracic space, which the Russians think are Latin. Not entirely wrong, considering Rome was founded by the inhabitants of Troy, purely Thracic.
    It’s just fascinating.
