  • My edition of William Billings hymn, lyrics by Isaac Watts.
This is a retuning in true intonation (Pythagorean tuning) and all six voices are put onto one grand staff with each part color coded for ease of following each part, as the voices cross often. Hopefully the words are easier to read onscreen this way.
The bass and alto parts are green, the tenor part is in blue along with the soprano part up the octave, and the soprano part is in orange along with the tenor doubling down the octave.
This piece is popular among sacred harp groups, as secular as they tend to be these days. The words speak of God's unfailing love for his saints and for Israel, whom he died for and redeemed and will redeem according to his word.
This is in the original key of Eb major with A=432 Hz.
If you are not saved, please look up the following verses online, and heed and believe what you read. Get a physical copy of the KJV Bible (no other version), read and study it.
