Shorts are a different animal, because CZcams doesn't allow you any control of thumbnails. Do you have any suggestions for workarounds regarding what thumb will appear? Something the default image is awful.

I do not, unfortunately. I know that thumbnails on shorts has been one of their most requested features, and I think it's weird they don't offer it yet. It's just another reason I think CZcams is putting less emphasis and resources in shorts content.

Interesting and informative video, Jenn, so thank you for this. I have found that the previews with captions are not from the first few seconds of my videos. Is there a way to control what CZcams selects to show in their roll-over previews?

Try looking at it again. It used to select a random section and make it a gif (and you're right you couldn't control it), but now it's truly a preview. This is a fairly recent change.

What about the CZcams tablet/iPad Apps? I see new weird features being added here for people who subscribe to Premium CZcams…
I hope you have more stuff coming about how to operate FCP on the iPad, and how to blend the best of iMove and FCP for a more streamlined easier workflow.

@@JennJager Under advanced settings under the video player, they have added stuff for advanced video playback controls on the sidebar, volume stabilization, and also something fancy called ambient mode that makes the black bars above and below the video phasing color, based upon what the colors on the edges of the image are. I don’t care how, in the app, your subscriptions are in column view instead of grid view, like in the desktop version. I also find that the iPad app consumes much more battery than watching CZcams on Safari.
