Yes, as others have said, you should definitely react to "Creep" (PMJ), "All About That Jazz" (PMJ), "Black Hole Sun" (PMJ)... in fact, in addition to those, you should probably just go look at PMJ, period! You'll love a number of their songs... Thank you for the reaction! (Can't wait to hear your reaction to these songs)! And, for a complete change of pace, you might like to check out Angelina Jordan... many say she is the best jazz singer around today (she won Norway's Got Talent at age 8 and just recently turned 15).

Some singers just sing a song. Haley *performs* a song! I heard Sophie Tucker in her full throated bawdiness along with Ella as you mentioned. Her vocals are off the charts. Try White Rabbit live, I Can't Find My Way Home, any jazz standard with No Vacancy, her own Oh Damn live. She is awesome live. Love this.
You are doing yourself an injustice if you don't react to Haley doing CREEP with post modern jukebox. It's probably one my favorite vocal performance EVER.
JUST SUBSCRIBED MISSY. Newbie to your channel. Really enjoyed your reaction. Haley is ridiculous with how she can interpret a song and deliver it like nobody else, esp. old school jazz and 60's rock. I agree completely with comment from Tornado. Her originals should have been hits on the radio! I don't know if you are aware of the young talent Angelina Jordan, who has a huge fan base since appearing on America's Got talent last year at age 13 with her interpretation of Bohemian Rhapsody. She is a child prodigy singing since winning Norway's Got Talent at age 8, mostly Billie Holiday, Ella,Etta, Nora, Amy Winehouse influences. I would love to hear your professional take. Also, her shocking performance of "I Put A Spell On You" at age 9. I like your "nerding up" btw. Thank you.

Basically, anything at all from PMJ. Scott Bradlee is a genius arranger, and what's more is that he has a real knack for finding singers who should be MUCH better known than they are, and who fit exquisitely well with his vision of the songs.
I think Creep is her best song with PMJ.

Haley gets flat at the low end of her register... but she's still one of my favorite singers. edit: before I get too many haters, she should have won American Idol -- no question in my mind there.
I'm glad you supported Haley during American Idol, but you still need to get your hearing and ears checked.

Hey Missy. Sure do appreciate your insight on women who master their instruments. A fan of Haley's since AI - she introduced me to PMJ (which is the only concert I've been to in the last 15 years - sad I know). So, long time fan and this is probably my favorite Haley cover she's did for PMJ.
Another artist you've covered who has outstanding mastery of her instrument is Floor Jansen, but imo you left a lot of her on the table. Most notably her 2019 appearance on the Dutch TV show Beste' Zangers. Four performances that can knock your socks off are:

Hey, I've watched some of your reactions and appricate them, especially the Nightwish ones. I would like to recommend that you listen to "Therion - La Maritza". It's a cover and it's great. Maybe you'll want to listen to some more Therion after that. I can recommend pretty much everything from the album The Secret of the Runes and the album named Vovin.
Haley is fantastic. I have followed her since American idol. If you want another treat, please react to Angelina Jordan. A good place to start would be her version of Bohemian Rhapsody!

Creep and Oops, I Did it Again definitely should be reacted to. As both of those are spectacular. Of course, everything she did with PMJ was excellent, but those two with Seven Nation Army are definitely a cut above. As Haley is by far the best vocalist to have ever preformed with PMJ. Not to mention that Creep has by far the most views on PMJ's CZcams Channel and her Oops, I Did it Again is not that far behind.

I enjoyed your reaction! I was curious about something she does in this song. Maybe it's because I'm not really familiar with New Orleans music, but I noticed she does something with her mouth that seems like a technique but I don't know why she does it or if it's connected to that style. Maybe she's emulating someone specific? But so on the words "seven nation couldn't hold me BACK" and "cigarette" early on, I notice she pulls her lips way back like she's almost smiling with teeth. And it gives a really really specific sound that is so cool, but I've never seen that before. Have you seen that before, and is that specific vocal technique? Or is she maybe just trying to mimic someone else's iconic style? Thanks! (Note: I realize that might be what you were talking about with the resonator and moving the sound around, but I wasn't sure.)

Who is she reminding me of? In that section, this might sound a little crazy but she reminds me of Joe Cocker when he would kind of get spazzed out. Like in his version of With a Little Help from my friends. I don’t know if Cocker was an influence for her but it wouldn’t surprise me. He was a killer vocalist
