Aramco Channel 3/Saudi Channel 2 - Scud Missile Alert & All Clear (Gulf War 1991)

  • This was the message broadcast on Aramco and Saudi TV channels when an incoming Scud Missile was detected. It was accompanied by the camp sirens. I can't tell you how happy I am at my dad's wisdom to record this rare bit of Aramco history that I know would be lost forever otherwise.

Silent Mime . We actually do. Its the Emergency Action Termination Alert. In major cases if a Emergency Action Notification was issued for the United states, It will follow with a Termination alert, or will follow with a Administrative message or Civil Emergency Message in most rare cases. Mostly in the us, we dont typically use EAN, rather the goverment will send a Civil Danger Warning in a lot of cases. There has to be a serious threat for a EAN, or a Civil Danger Warning being issued anyway

I wasn't born until 1993. My elder brother was 1 years old when this happened. My family was living in Jeddah, not Riyadh. I thought the war in 1991 was mainly between Iraq and Kuwait. But it looks like there’s a lot more going. Does anyone know the original source of the war here?
    Many thanks
