This channel was part of my childhood when we lived in Dammam, I still remember Children's Show. The programs were amazing and new at that time I used to miss them when I returned to Pakistan.
Same here bro. I’m Syrian but I was born in Saudi and lived my life between the two countries. This channel had such an affect on my childhood. I still miss it to these days.
I grew up watching this! I kept watching until the end… when I was about eight, the year they closed down, my dad brought cable TV (Showtime + Orbit for the Disney Channel), before it was available in Saudi Arabia… he brought the staff over from a nearby country to set it up. I often wondered what happened to this channel! I remembered realizing how dubs change things by comparing the English cartoons and the Arabic dubs on the second channel and favouring the originals. I prefer subtitles for anything now, not dubs. ^^ Although I do have a soft spot for nostalgic and well-done dubs, Venus Centre’s Arabic dubs have excellent voice acting and good scripts, but they do change things to better suit Islamic societal standards. I remember loving watching Mr. Bean in the evenings! I also liked this fifties or maybe sixties show, My Mother the Car. My first anime by the late Osamu Tezuka was the first colour anime, Kimba the White Lion. And of course, I loved watching all of those classic cartoons from Disney, Warner Brothers, and Fleischer studios.

يازين ذيك الأيام كنا نتابع القناة الثالثه مسلسلات وافلام وكرتون وبرامج وثائقية رائعه جدا ومباريات الدوري الأيطالي والأنجليزي والرياضات الأمريكيه قناه رائعه جدا وصافيه لقربنا منها في مدينة الخبر ،، سألت اللي أعرفهم في إدارة الأنتاج الفني مبنى 3030 وقالو أنها مكلفة خاصه الأفلام والمسلسلات من هوليوود ومع إنتشار الفضائيات اصبح الأقبال عليها ضعيف
Just remembering my young days when I used to visit Doha, Qatar in the 70's & 80's. With a Yagi antenna & rotor, I could pick up nearby channels without an booster amplifier. With a sporadic E layer present during the summer, could pick VHF channels : Channel 3 (Aramco), Bahrain ch4, Kuwait, Abu Dhabi, Dubai Ch 10, Oman (Mct), Local Iran stns, sometimes Pakistan (Karachi ch.4) & Jordan tv. ON UHF, could pick Dubai Ch. 33 & Bahrain ch.55
This channel has signed agreements and also wanted to move onto Satellite broadcasting since Satellite was cheap back then and becoming a popular TV watching experience. Aramco Channel 3 is still airing in Saudi Arabia today as Channel 2.
كان اغلاق القناة قرار من مسؤول كبير في الشركه في ذلك الوقت اصبح يراس قطاع الشؤون العامه في الشركه ومن ظمنها التلفزيون..وكان يعتقد ان ليس لها حاجه رغم انها ثاني قناة تلفزيونيه في العالم العربي تاسسات بعد تلفزيون بغداد..رغم جمهورها العريض في المنطقه الشرقيه الذي افتقدها بشده.

القناه الثالثه كانت ذكرى جميله عشناها في زمن جميل عاشت 40 عام يعرفها جيدا اهالي المنطقه الشرقيه وبالاخص سكان الظهران والخبر والدمام
والله حرام اغلاق القناة 3 والسؤال اين ذهب الأرشيف الكثير من المسلسلات والتي عرضت فيها كل هذه السنوات ومثال ذلك مسلسل الرجل الأخضر القديم وغيره من المسلسلات القديمة الأجنبية
