I heard it mentioned many times that those showcases will stop the need for people to bend down to view the cards. But literally half the cards are at knee level!

A near impossible task to eliminate bending down while still maximising space.
The fact that you can just step to look at the whole case will have many backs thanking you.
The only bending now would be to take a closer look at something of interest.
This feels a lot like a Card Collector 2 video.
I would add sports memorabilia to the shop. I think people would love it. Maybe even have a place for guys like Pete Rose, Jose Canseco etc to have signing sessions.
I think sports memorabilia like jerseys for example go hand and hand with cards, but it's hard enough to maintain a massive card store like this. Has to be card focused I think for now and can always expand down the line.

Really dying to know which software you are using to manage/inventory all the cards. They mentioned Magpie on the podcast but wondering if that was the final solution. Wondering if you considered Kronzio (which Burbank uses) or another that I haven't heard about. Thanks!
Geoff…. You need to check out the Burbank model. I just don’t know how a profit can be turned with that type of overhead for the space and payroll. You have to sell 500-1000 cards a day. I wish you luck

Went on Saturday, everyone was super nice and so many great cards! I loved it I didn’t bother him but Geoff was talking to everyone and it was just an amazing environment!

The market is way too volatile to manage your inventory with stickered prices. Y’all very easily could have implemented some kind of QR system that refreshes prices using card ladder data that is then validated by an employee. Now you have to resticker once a month (at least) to keep up. Then you have a bunch of $10 cards under lock and key, tons of time wasted again and you’ll need an extra employee or two every day to constantly open and close cases.

I can't tell from the camera angle, but the cases appear somewhat dark. LED strips or something to bring more attention to cards? All in all, the cases and everything looks great!

As a professional retailer this video gave me anxiety. What you have is an incredibly inefficient system for labor spend. Free advice - don't lock up cases with $10 cards as you will spend so much more in labor having an associate open the case to get the card for a customer. It will kill your P&L. HMU if you want to consult.
and the locksneed to bet at the top so employee doesnt have to bend over a million times per day to open a case

Also the live stream of the breakers table is terrible.
