They used to have a thing called "Design By Me" which allowed you to design your own set, wish they still had that tho.
The difference was that was like the Lego equivalent of like what shapeways does now for 3d printing, production cost of producing a one-off set instead of bulk of the same one probably gets to be unprofitable
You mean like Lego Digital Designer? That’s what I had; used it to order a ton of minifigs for my city.

I'm sadly pretty sure they never plan on collaborating with Valve ever again. Half-Life is even a banned Lego Ideas set,and they've rejected every Portal Lego Ideas set that reaches enough votes

@@Original_Katros not really. Valve is notoriously known for not exactly being the best to work with due to how people work in the company. That, or Valve asked Lego not to accept Half-Life ideas

Lego War Birds would be a pretty interesting idea especially if you had to incorporate at least 1 mini fig into each set, or at least an aviation line of builds like they do with cars, would love to see an official Lego F4U Corsair or a Consolidated PBY-5A Catalina
