like the brand, as I own the 2018 21spd townie myself and ride as much as weather allows me to and my time allows too..

Thanks for the video, but to be honest people wanting a basic beach cruiser are not going to be interested in the top end speed at all. Instead, they are more interested in the overall ride quality and the comfort of the ride. Cheers! ;-)

False. I want comfort and ride quality but I want to know how fast a guy can go. Glad he made video

@@royalandrosey False? Maybe for you, but you don't buy a single speed beach cruiser for outright speed, especially one with just a rear coaster brake. Stoping a bike from 30mph on just a rear brake is never going to be quick. Everything about a the Electra beach cruiser is oriented towards fairly sedate, comfortable riding on mostly flat terrain. It excels in doing that.

@@another3997 I grew up on the coast with beach cruisers. Ops statement is false because the top end speed information was useful to me.
If it's useful to me and I knock someone for knocking the creator of the video who took his time to make it, let me complain in peace or file a grievance.

I toped out on my genesis onyx 29 beach cruiser at 23 mhp but on my 26inch del rio 7 speed i was going 27 mhp racing 2 guys they were on 3000k racing bikes and i was pulling so hard the dude was telling his buddy to pedal harder the only why he pulled away when i was going 26 mhp was i shifted into 7th gen and he started pulling away a little bit this happened in 2015 when i was 16 years old 174 pounds

It's called "cruiser" for a reason. Coaster breaks will work just fine when you learn how to ride a real bicycle.

I just got one from Facebook marketplace. Some pos stole my micargi two days ago. I thought that was a Cadillac. The 3 speed Electra is.

Please tell me this isn't the first bike you've ridden with a coaster brake. Still, I'm impressed with your speed. I have trouble with getting my 7 speed Electra Townie beyond 15 mph on level speed, and when I get near 20 mph my feet can't keep up with that.

These are decent bikes but they do ask their riders to have quite straight arms. I wish the handgrips were closer to the torso when sitting upright, so the elbows could come in and relax.

How would this bike do on suburban roads with a medium level of traffic? Would the wide handlebars be a problem?

found that most people go around you towards the center of the lane on a cruiser bike, more so than being on a road bike I feel. you'll be fine with caution.

This bike doesn't turn very well, if you have to make any quick turns or maneuvers it could be a problem. I mainly ride this bike straight on the beach, with no traffic, or light beach town cruising it's good for that.

This is a clip from a video that I did with the rest of my Mt Bikes and I did this at the end, so the only thing that is ridiculous is the assumption you just made, everyone knows your should never assume anything, now that's ridiculous and only dumb people do that. Also when you go as fast as I do, safety gear is always necessary.

@@rickymyersbikes No way dude, a cruiser is all about style is it not? Single gear means slowwww! If you're covering 20mph or something, nobody will be able to admire tattoos, your physique or read what's on your T shirt , or your bike. We should all switch modes when we ride a cruiser! Though |I'll admit mine has a 7 speed rear hub, and rim brakes front and rear.😉 But in the UK we have hills in almost every town, and the full brakes are mandatory.
