Doesn’t matter how thick or strong your aluminium is, if the structure between the floor and hull is week. Look for a builder that builds bulkheads and stringers into the hull system tying the floor to the hull as opposed to a ribbed hull which is much weaker
Sou apaixonado por esses modelos de barcos, acho que é um grande avanço no mundo náutico. Gostaria muito de ter a oportunidade de possuir um desses um dia.
I love my Northriver Commander 20 ft with a 350 cid with a Kodiak Jet Drive. Built like a tank and looks as nice as when I purchased in 2005. This boat is built to last. I keep it in the garage when not in use. Never run in salt water.
Thank you. I purchased an Edge Marine OS 23 after comparing it with the North River sea hawk 22. The Edge had a much better ride, turned sharper without cavitating , and is a much better looking boat. Also came with a built-in radar tower/rocket launcher, transom door and crab davit that costs extra on the NR
I called and spoke to the owner after not responding to an email. Was told to expect a build sheet/estimate via email. No response, nor any response to text. I'm a cash paying buyer. Not sure what's up.
No it’s just cheaper to build on west coast since power is cheaper due to hydro electricity so it’s cheaper to produce aluminum in smelting plants since it takes a lot more electricity to produce aluminum. Hints why they are popular here on the west coast
Those water separators really going to get water out of the gas going to those outboards? Generally fuel-water separators are only of much use in diesel fuel systems.
Vous fabriquer des belles bateaux vous savez l'aventage dans l'aluminium c'est un métaux propre et il résiste le corrosion mais ça coûte cher par à Port à l'acier
@Hank Chinaski all offshore aluminum boats have sacrificial anodes. the anode gets eaten away, the aluminum doesnt. glass owners act like we're in the dark ages.
Boats are stupidly over-priced. Then having to deal with incompetent Govt employees to simply drop your over-priced boat into the water and it becomes stupid really fast.
I understand you are making super boats and you are a super dude (or vice-versa), but what's the deal that I can't open your website from Romania? Maybe you only sell your spaceships on Mars? Is it that trying to get perfection, leads to paranoia? It certainly did, dude! Who wants to buy a life saving s...t, from a paranoic, though...
Great presentation! Thanks.
Thanks for the info from Michigan!
thank you for the informational video. helped me out a lot

What's the expected lifetime of these aluminium hulls?

How much did you pay for that boat in 05? I’m looking at a Seahawk c series 25’ boat, new from around that same year.
What are top 10 brands of aluminum pilot house boats?
Awesome, thanks!

Is Edge Marine still in business?

Are you kidding me? NorthRiver one of th best built boats out there.
Bro, Edge Marine boats are ugly. North River and Duckworth are building the best looking boats out there right now.
the yamaha is working to capacity there. sounds great!
Friend has a 26', I only wish I could afford one. Wonderful girl.
Parksville here. Nice vessels.
Thanks for the video! Interested in making trommels?
Americans and Canadians dont seem to like small (sub 6 metre) aluminum boats "tinnys" like we do here in Australia. Not sure why.
Racism maybe? We love em down here in sheep land too
Bigger waters.
@@lilianahenry4572 mmmm, I'm not so sure...
Small boats are way too limiting in what waters it can handle and how far off shore you can go. We like big boats for many reasons.
I love this, to me this the best boat out there, you my pay a little more and you get what you pay for the best.
As long as the metal they use to weld the boat is the same as the aluminium they build the boat with or the boat will have problems on the weld.
Quality of the welding not just materials
I like wood boats!
I feel like quitting my 200 k a year job and working for this guy ! 🤣
engineer I take it?
But can it go in 12” of water?
is the aluminum used on a 60 ft boat also 0.25 inch?
sure not, but not huge of different. It also uses different thick of al board for different part of boat.
.375 , the bigger the boat, the heavier, the harder the impact.
So where does the "bow" start?
At the waist
is there a shortage of aluminum on the east coast? cant find one manufacturer.

I believe any modern marine engine needs some form of water separator. Try it, you'll like it.
Hmm. I thought sheet metal thickness was designated in "gauge" rather than "fractiomals". What do the "specs" say about aluminum boats in saltwater?
Thickness can be expressed in metric units also, pick a UNIT and run with it.
James Mottley sheet metal is in guage. Plate is in inch or millimeter. Plate generally starts at 1/8 inch or .125

Who makes the best aluminum boat wellcraft, Duckworth, kingfisher, etc.
Surtees, stabicraft, freweza
Andrew Villanueva Munson makes great boats! But then everyone has an opinion.
How come they never want to talk about how a boat performs in a following sea?
Because this is a video explaining important building properties and materials.
Great shot of the Geo-engineering in the sky
