luis, i think he said that because the trew shit at Jason for eveng forming Echobrain back in the day and say to him (in Jason's words) that if he go to other band he cannot be in Metallica
watching this and knowing that it was an old band back in the day, you would think that this is like some sort of supergroup and not just a reunion of an old band
I love how Metallica lets Rob just go off and do his own thing... as opposed to the bullshit they gave Jason... My guess is either they learned their lesson, or Rob had them write that in his contract knowing he was really the only bass player in the country that comes close to Cliff's playstyle... and they kind of need HIM. Rob is just absolutely electric when he plays the funk!!
Hetfield said as much at some point (that they were too hard on Jason) and now that they're mellowing out (old men!), they probably aren't doing things as hardcore as they used to.
enginesheart I saw them with ST back in the 90s and I actually saw the sound check and the guy who’s in the costume without it... definitely NOT Pesci lol but it’d be hilarious if it was
Yah bro' but i'm not totally agree with you, the period of load to st anger is the worst for metallica, but you can't say it about death magnetic album because it's a fucking homecoming, and the album happens to look as great !
so...do they play anymore. i was searching information about Rob Trujillo and found this. Never knew he was in this band. Rob is one of my favourite bassist right now
yup they play ,they are on tour in europe i believe..i just saw them for the 5th or 6th time,,,in a town in arizona....wont say what town because i don't like this raggedy ass town
luis jimenez false he was not a teenager anymore and join S.T. in the late 80s then record Light, Camera, Revolution which was the fifth album of the band ( the first featuring Robert on bass )
thanks i had my chronology twisted,i saw st at cal state dominguez hills before lights came out and mike was throwing the cassette tape single out to audience lights camera, one side i think has u cant bring me down side 2, has i believe no fucken problem.my robert trujillo statement is from an interview on the radio. i heard mike on.where the interviewer asked about infectious funk sound, and mike answered with robs influence on base, and how he added funk to sui also.and a week latter i met the band in person at lax and rob was there already.they were going to hawaii to do a gig,,and i asked again when they would come back to play in los angeles, they said they were banned from playing anywhere in california and especially LA,,which i already knew.thank u very much for the knowledge.ST IS my absolute fAVORITE Band and met the different line ups through out the years,,had a chance to chat with mike wen the pigs pulled the plug after three songs at verizon theatre when they played with westside connection and ludacris..i appreciate the band like u cant imagine.and they have got me through some not so great moments in my life ,where if not for their positively positive,et-titude message i would have impulsively done very bad things to folks who ,,,well any way thanks ,,
When Metallica was unknown at clubs they made their fans look at the back of the club instead of other bands when they played. I always thought they were assholes. Then they wanted 90 cents every time one of their songs was heard on the internet by every listener. They opposed how you can listen to music for free. They never got one penny from me. I don't listen to them and never will.
As much as I love Metallica, I do have to say this is where rob shines most.
No bullshit! ;-)
... and I wonder what he can do at metallica .....
Wow you're really going out on a limb there
Lol
The comments.
Unanimous.

He’s never been the right fir for Metallica, as good as he is.
So glad to see Rob playing with IG again!!!

J garza
I had to check and make sure no one else made this comment. I bet James is scratching his head...
luis jimenez
Something about indignant folks that are semi-literate makes me question where this country is headed.
luis, i think he said that because the trew shit at Jason for eveng forming Echobrain back in the day and say to him (in Jason's words) that if he go to other band he cannot be in Metallica
necro post, but no he wasn't. not at all.
watching this and knowing that it was an old band back in the day, you would think that this is like some sort of supergroup and not just a reunion of an old band
Jim Martin still rules!
Cyko Myko lead vocals,Robert Trujillo bass, vocals,Stephen Perkins drums,Dean Pleasents guitar, vocals and Jim Martin lead guitar and vocals....
Can't believe that's Jim Martin.

Welcome back Jim!!....please make a new record!! I fuckin love Milk and Blood!
Trujillo, along with claypool are the grearest bass players
In my opinion flea have to be in that group too, is too groovy and clean
Claypool is like take all the groove and music to let just virtuosism

I still believe somehow that's Joe Pesci in that costume.

Yah bro' but i'm not totally agree with you, the period of load to st anger is the worst for metallica, but you can't say it about death magnetic album because it's a fucking homecoming, and the album happens to look as great !

What? Is that Martin from FNM?
Did Mike Muir or Robert Trujillo do the voice of the lizard character?
I thought it was Robert. It was probably pre-recorded. Haha
Dude's name is Aladin. He's a friend of Robert's
good camera work during the guitar solo

@@johndrake2729 Jim Martin
He later became Aquaman

no on this video I guess, but Martin did play live with IG
The big guy with cap and sunglasses. You can see him at around 2:13
+Paulo Aloisio That *is* "Big" Jim Martin! He wasn't a member originally, the guitarist from Excel couldn't do the reunion so Jim took his place.
oh THAT guy, ok, it was a really quick appearance on this video, I guess I've blinked
I thought you guys were talking about the other guy, to the right of the video, my bad
Not with a P bass on this song! Whatever, Rob has been a big influence on me, since I was a teenager.
These dudes need to make new records man ( axl rose replacement right there)
James is angry
Cyco Miko
Must be still wetting the round.

luis jimenez false he was not a teenager anymore and join S.T. in the late 80s then record Light, Camera, Revolution which was the fifth album of the band ( the first featuring Robert on bass )
