But if you took two black holes and smashed them into each other, they'd be capable of changing the shape of space itself. How epic would that explosion be? And could it somehow reach the Earth?

the milky way and the andromeda galaxy are heading towards each other and will collide in around 4 billion years. both galaxies obviously have supermassive black holes in the middle. both of these galaxies will collide with minimal stars/planets colliding due to how spaced out they all are, what will collide is the 2 black holes and we will be left with one much larger galaxy with a much larger gravitational pull. i would assume the black holes feeding habits would increase as well.

Apparently you can find a sweet spot between the black holes that will allow you to hypothetically travel back in time before your journey entering their affected area due to how each black hole changes the fabric of space and time around their given field

It’s not physically possible to travel back in time no matter how a black hole bends space - it’s only possible to travel slower through time; to go back, u need white holes which physically break the laws of thermodynamics and seem like a realistically impossible concept

I love the videos y'all do of space as a whole but I definitely like the planets and black hole videos
I don’t think it would take billions of years for them to merge presumably the black holes rotate extremely rapidly. As they approached closer tidal forces would slow the rotations down and pull the holes together. Once the event horizons touched then they would merge rapidly with a burst of gamma, X-Ray and visible light lighting up the cosmos and generating massive gravity waves.
