I've followed Bozzio since his early days with Zappa, and afterwards to missing persons, to his stint with the guitar slinger Jeff beck. Terry I.M.O makes his set sound like he is in a religious setting. This guy gets every possible thing out of that kit and more. Terry keeps expanding his universe and he is the architect of this fantastic batteria of percussion, drumzz and timings of another universe. Major props to Terry for always taking the drumzz to a higher level. You cannot discount what this man has meant to the drumzz, I thank you for all the amazing things you've produced.

I didn’t appreciate Terry’s work when I was a young drummer, and didn’t revisit until now, a decade later. I’m glad I came back. What a journey he takes the listener on, such beautiful landscapes and atmospheres.

It is simply a musical discourse, a way of expression in an instrument that we are accustomed to listen to only as a "propagator" of groove. Bozzio, if I may, went much further afield years ago. I listen to a perfect musical groove to his performances. But like everything, tastes are tastes.

It was, and still is about as different and intense as it gets! That band had Mark Isham, Terry later played on on Mark's album CASTALIA! An EPIC album. And let us not forget about THE BIG BLOCK. But, GUITAR SHOP ruled! Please take a chance and find these songs! More then worth the time spent to find and listen! Thank you, GREG
The tuning on this particular kit sounds near spot on vs. his other kits. Every note is very clear and well defined. Well done Bozzio. It is xylophone-like in that the notes are so defined on this set vs. the same type of approach for years on various rigs. I love the tone of this setup.

I would love a behind the scenes or breakdown from the sound engineer. I've done plenty of bands, but if a drummer showed up with this set up, I'd probably just set up some overheads and kick mics. Other than that, I'd be lost.
Ok I got to see Terry back in the 80's with Missing Persons at the US Festival and also in a few Drum Clinics .. Interesting that I know he could have done better in Slow Latin Groove .. to Me seeing him throughout the years the First part of Slow Latin Groove was a bit to busy and really didn't hear the Flavor of True Latino Groove .. Great Job on the Second Part Though .. Amazing Drummer !!!
