- This is the long awaited collab, it all started when ChrisFix made a post on Instagram saying he is getting rid of his family's beloved Ford Windstar, that they purchased when new. Thank you to you guys, my followers, for all commenting to give me the car instead of potentially scrapping it, as I aim to restore her to her former glory! STAY TUNED!

This is when the time back then, SUV were too big and made for off-road users! For minivans after the first start of the full-size vans, they were becoming hot cakes as family were need to expand and carrying people around!
This is one of the rare breed for this first generation model, as many we know Ford had so many recalls, this of course was taken care well by we know who it is! I remember riding on this generation, indeed very comfortable! I remember driving the 2nd generation version in 2003! And, final assembly was made from Oakville, ON, Canada! We will be looking forward to see this fully restoration soon!

I just walked out of Knotts Berry Farm tonight, and there it was, an original mid 1990's Ford Windstar, sitting in the parking lot, mint condition, a relic of the 1990's.

My parents had a teal one. Same year. Many fun memories from family trips in it, but it was by far the most problematic vehicle thats ever sat in our driveway lol. LOTS of problems.

As a teen in the late 90s i couldnt understand why parents were ditching minivans for suburbans, expeditions, excursions, tahoes, etc...and I still dont. ❤ my odyssey.

I have a 2000 SEL windstar, that im in the process of bringing back to life, picked it up for $1800, and thanks to @Chrisfix I had the courage to take it upon myself to do some minor repairs, and besides a undiagnosed misfire it runs great now! It used to stall out regularly, but I threw on a new IAC valve and topped up all the fluids. Next is a tune up, and fuel filter replacement :D

A great read is the How hard is it to make a minivan series on curbside classic. Great series. Its a seried of all the competitors to the chrysler minivans and how they all failed to really compete with chrysler till the 99 Odyssey came out

3:00 100% Wrong mate, the 3.0 Vulcan V6 was a good strong engine that was the best things these vans ever had, the 3.8 V6 was the one that had constant head gasket problems causing overheating and the additional Torque from the 3.8 V6 would chew up the AXOD transaxles that these vans had alot faster then what the smaller 3.0 V6 would, get your facts straight before you publish them to the internet bud.
