I tested the K3 size, and it fit me well, at 190 ish cm (6 foot 3). A couple of things that didn't quite make the video: Bash Plate is a good addition from the factory (well worth getting, a couple of scuff marks) - I tried a lot of different bar and stem heights (35mm stem, 50mm stem, 25mm bars / 35mm bars and 50mm bars). Finally settled on 50mm stam and 50mm rise bars, with approx 25mm of spacers under the stem, that I might still fine tune.
Sag approx 28% in the rear, 20% on the Zeb, no tokens, low speed compressions fully open high speed in the mid / default position. You can set the bike up firm or soft, theres so much adjustability with this amount of travel. Soft for a nice comfortable plush ride and still have good BB clearance.
Weight was with Maxxis DD DHR2 and Shorty DD tyres, carbon DT Swiss wheels, no inserts, 220mm rotors front and rear, AXS Dropper, 24.7KG. Could get into 23KG bracket if you wanted to with some lighter tyres etc.
I just looked at the Pole website and it seems they are currently offering free worldwide delivery... BUT - Some people who have ordered say to choose DHL as the delivery option (at an extra cost) for the quickest, and to stop it being delayed at customs (certainly in the UK).
Pricing: Make sure on Pole website you select your country. UK fees: add 6% to the total bike price (IMPORT FEE) then add 20% (VAT) on top of bike price and import fee to give your total price you will pay. Here's an example: Frameset Only: €5637 which is £4939 GBP. Plus 6% Import fee: £5235. THEN add VAT to that, so = £6282 total price.
Mine test bike is K3, with Storm Grey electrophoretic coating. Gold looks super bling, I might get one in raw alu as my own frame! Not sure yet!
I am not the fastest or most skilled or stylish rider, I do like big long travel ebikes and I hope to progress with this bike, I am the limiting factor when riding, the bike is so capable!
I have got an EXT coil coming next week which will be going straight on it, will be a good comparison vs the Super Deluxe Air!
PS - Zeb Decals are on upside down. The bike arrived like that haha.
Finally, the bike is stunning, everyone want to know more about it. Its a head turner for sure!
We have a K1 and K2 chassis. I'm 5'11 and I can ride either. K1 is more nimble for me. We have made our own coil conversion kit for the forks. Ohlins coil in the rear. Nothing climbs like it. This is 1 bike to do it all.
Just my opinion but with that bar and stem combo you probably bridged the reach gap with the k4. Im tall also 6'5". I've been thru the cockpit struggle for years. Every size and combo of bar and stem. One thing I've learned is the taller the bars on a big travel bike the more it negatively effects the handling. Thank you for the great content. You're one of the best!
Making the same stem/bar rise changes at present trying to dial out a little bit of hand pressure when just riding the flatter stuff on my K4 (6'6" tall). Climbing/Descending the position feels great and very centred on the bike and as you say, pedals flat it just tips into the corners so well. Best climbing ebike I've ridden and coming off an EP8 motor, the Bosch unit just seems to be better in every way (except for it's sound & the controller size). Another great review!
@rob is it the e-storia you are waiting for? I have it on my K3, and I it is performing amazingly, and suits the bike really well. My ext dealer used a mojo tune setup. Been really happy with the range of adjustments, and the ability to get the bike lively and poppy and still superplush👌
FOR ANYONE IN THE USA- I ordered the acoustic version of this bike the Vikkela. Im wondering on shipping, is DHL to the USA the way to go? Thanks

If only
I am lucky enough to have a Voima and can only agree with everything Rob mentioned. It is amazing going up and down.
I couldn't wait for this video and now its here it has surpassed my expectations! Definitely I'm getting one next year! Best ebike out there hands down
your video footage is getting better and better, i love the editing, and how you explain "complicated" specs and stats in a way that it effects the ride. Thank you very much, I enjoy every single Video
Much appreciated!
Rob, the quality of your videos and filming is just outstanding, you are in a different league to many of your peers. PS the bike looks great as well, want one.
I've lost count how many times I've watched this vid, superb by the way, but...the phrase 'tight & twisty's' has to be the winner, makes me chuckle every time I watch, thanks Rob keep up the good work
Some, no, most of these shots are incredible. Give your videographer a raise!
Great stuff Rob!!
Glad you have also been blown away by this insane bike 👌
This was a very good video, bravo Rob, you did great with its production and quality. I really appreciate your personality, effort, and knowledge. I've never heard of this bike (and brand), but gosh dangit, I want this. : ) Thanks for your work!
Just WOW! Defi my next bike. Love my Bullit, but this takes it to the next level. Thank you Rob 🤙🏼🔥♥️
Finally, been waiting since you interviewed Leo for a review :) Thanks Rob, great review of this fantastic bike
Best EMTB vids on the CZcams. Keep it up Rob!
Wow Rob. Your video production has really gotten impressive. Your action footage is taken from a great perspective. That EMTB is also getting a bunch of interest. I think it is beautiful. It is nice to hear the riders side of the equation. Have a great day and even better ride.
ABSOLUTELY LOVE MINE !!!
This ebike is truly a real work of art
A MASTERPIECE, it’s ride and performance is even better 😮
I added AXS electronic shifting and AXS Reverb REALLY SWEET !!!
Glad you enjoy it!
And now Pole are bankrupt so good luck with any warranty issues 😢
Wow... Looks like a unique bike. Very good video as well. Thanks Rob!
its for me the most anticipted review of the year. 🎉🎉🎉
Great vid, both review and the actual cinematography!
I own a Pole Taival and it's a blast. Busy saving up, as a K2 Voima is on the cards for end of 2023.
What a beast !! , the back end looks very solid and active, your camera shots are superb.
Thanks for watching
I don’t know about the Pole itself but I agree that long travel , high stack, steep seat angle is the future of full power e-bikes.
It’s a honest bike in that regard, not trying to mimick a pedal bike enduro but go for the full monty of motor assisted riding 👍👍👍
Great video and I feel the review is spot on based on my personal time with the bike. Everyone needs a Voima!
I have got my pole in gold 3 weeks ago in size K3. I waited since May for my new bike. Now I have this insane bike and I made a few rides and I love it really. I am looking forward for new trail adventures next year, because now the snow is on the trails here in the mountains of Austria.
How tall are you?? Thanks
@@oliverbourne9599 1.86 meter
Spot on review Rob! Throw some carbon rims and Berd spokes for a light and durable wheelset, some carbon bars and cranks too. My Voima is 50.8lbs in a size K1 with a dual crown 40 on it. It’s a beast of a bike and I love it too! You’re right, it climbs and descends so good, but it can also be used as a casual trail bike too! So glad I made the purchase way back before they were released. I have the 2nd one made in size K1. I think with the lighter wheelset, the bike accelerates and brakes quicker and I think it also gets better range with the battery.
Nice review…good job Rob!….as always….I got my voima in K4 ~ 2 month ago and am in full agreement with Robs verdict. Even though my exclusivity on the trails might suffer: best bike I ever rode-a clear buy it recommendation!!! Cheers
Been waiting for this review to put my order in. Thanks!
When I bumped into you the other week in Surrey, and got to see it in the flesh, it’s defo a better looker in person… ❤👌
Rob your Cinematics Absolutely amazingKeep him coming
AWESOME VIDEO AND BIKE REVIEW AS ALWAYS . KEEP IT UP ROB
Awesome Bike! And having the Pivits so high above the bottombracket the chain locks the function when pedaling (half active rear) smart when having that massive 190 mm travel, this is the One no matter what you Riding you do, the one to Dream about 🤠
Wow great video. Well done Pole 🙌🏻👊🏻
Hey Rob, love the video. Having ridden a specialised Kenevo (2020 with the triple clamp forks) for last few years, I recently got a Voima. It is an awesome bike but the clearance from that higher bb is so noticeable. Constantly getting pedal strikes on the Kenevo despite going to crazy short cranks, nothing on Voima. Only been on it three weeks but I’m stoked with it so far.
🤟
Finnish passion and engineering. Great combo. Great video too!
Great looking ebike.
King of the mountain goats !
I've been waiting for this. Tea and biscuits ready. Let's go...
Fantastic footage!
Many thanks!
Can’t wait to get mine ordered!!!!!!!
Mine’s just arrived Rob - great review- am stoked to get it out there 👌
Looks incredible
The mountain goat of e bikes
I have had my eye on this bike since leo starting posting about it. While im still a couple years off from upgrading my current EMTB this is the only bike that is on my short list.
One of the things that really stands out in this excellent review is that Pole have raised the BB height. I hope other manufacturers take note.
Higher BB = higher rider and rider weight. There is a reason most makers dont do it.
As cool as it sounds its not for everybody
Brilliant video and just what i have been waiting for. Have got my invoice from POLE ready to buy so chocks away
Looking forward to hearing from you 🤘
@@Polebicycles Just love the bike. Went out for a climb around Hayfield in the Peak District including a quick ascent up Kinder Scout. Climbing was amazing. Downhill I now have a load of PB's as well. This was in comparison to my previous Canyon Spectral
Definitely, a e-bike for the terrain surrounding Lake Tahoe.
With the anti-squat, high BB, beautiful design, etc. you’ve basically reviewed a burly, modern day, Mountain Cycle -San Andreas. The original Swiss Army knife of mountain bikes. I still have mine and it’s still cool. Anyway, great review as always. Really like your channel. Thanks for all you do. Much respect.🙏👍😉
With BB height, you need to consider Sag as well. For example for a bike with 190mm rear travel, the bottom bracket will drop ~57mm as soon as you sit on it (Assuming 30% sag). I've always thought that it's strange that bike manufacturers give geometry figures without Sag accounted for. Sag makes a big difference to the numbers and can even affect head tube angle, effective reach etc since the rear sags more than the front (usually ~30% on the rear and ~20% on the front).
Rocking the v-neck sweater and shredding. Niiiice
It is Gorgeous .
I want one of these!!!!’ Best bikes around
Amazing bike! I don't have any mountains nearby, but even uphill feels like a downhill with Pole Voima. The best bike I've ever had, hands down. 😁
Thanks for another great video Rob. Has Pole given any indication if/when they'll be adapting the new more integrated, sleeker Bosch controller & display? Will you be ordering yours with the current display & controller or waiting 'till Pole has implemented the new ones?
Rob, i like what you are able to do on these eMTBs. Can't wait to see them here in India.
Ok ok! You've done it Rob and Pole! I now need THIS bike. I was hoping to remain an acoustic rider until I'm really old but that thing looks Monster!
Your videos are brilliant too, great production.
Well done Rob
Cheers Adam!
No Adam! Don’t do it! Keep peddling. Don’t be one of ‘them’ 😂
You explain it so nice, i will buy one tomorrow! 😉
Top notch video quality 👌🏼
Great editing, Fantastic video👍
Thank you 👍
I would like to see you visit the Pole factory or even see when they are building your own bike.
Great review, I spotted a video with Pole's owner building one up, I had thought "well I will give it a few minutes" but ended up watching the whole like 27mins. Really impressive bike, looking forward to seeing a long term review on it! Also 100% agree, why keys on eMtbs?!?!
We removed the key from our Voimas. 5mm Allen key now. Not that hard to do either. Took about 20 mins.
@@philseton5796 good to know! hopefully Pole can do something like this from Factory in future.
Really like the look of this bike and brand. Seen a few of the workshop vids and they look like a company going places. The frame design and manufacture looks stunning. Ticks every box for my next bike, except the lack of UK support atm. If they set up a hub like Propain or YT have and offer genuine backup / parts etc I think I'll be pulling the trigger :-). Another great video Rob!
UK hub would be great! I think that the difference is that Pole are a pretty small company compared to the likes of YT etc, so may not be able to incur such large overheads (whilst keeping the prices the same). Pretty much a boutique product..
Great Video as ever Rob, I have a K2 that I didn't even have to order, I was able to buy it with 50 km's on the clock, I changed the Canecreek Katsuma spring rate to suit my weight and oh my god what a weapon, I've been lucky enough to ride many long and short travel e bikes and nothing comes close to how the Voima rides up or down, so not at all surprised you are buying one for yourself. Also if you think the Grey smoke frame draws attention try the pure gold and get ready for the constant interest and queries cheers
Good to hear! Maybe I should be brave and get the gold!!
What height are you and what size Voima did you end up with ? TiA
thanks for showing the climbing - so many others just show downhill - making you wonder if they can climb
Some great riding shots in there Rob 🚀🚀🚀
thanks!
Great review Rob! So I've had mine for a couple of months and love it! I noticed that I also blow the o ring off the end of the rear shock, but like you, it never feels like it's bottoming out. I've ordered some volume spacers as I would rather run lower pressure at the beginning of the curve and have it ramp up towards the end. Absolutely amazing bike for what we're riding in the PNW! I'm running MT7 brakes with 220mm rotors front and rear, the DEEMAX S30 wheels, and a ONEUP e-bar with revgrips. This thing rips!
Steve, did your Voima come with the Rock Shock SD Ultimate MY 2023 rear shock? If so did it have the optional hydraulic bottom out installed on the shock. It's a RS option. I have a question into POLE support asking if mine will come with the Hydraulic option installed on the shock.
Damn! The bass in that dnb track is heavy!
Looks like a bike from the future!
That rear linkage reminds me of the Honda dh bike from 15 years ago 👌🏻
I've been waiting for a long time and this is a good one! Have ordered mine 10 days ago and now is the wait. Will be interested to see how this bike works on the twisties......great video!
Long waited video! I've wathched it 4 times already 😅 Thank you it's amazing!😊 I wonder how do you decide where you use fullface helmet?
🎉🎉 Full face in bike park and exposed naturally rock / mountains. Half shell on regular trails 👊
Looks like a broken spectre to me at 14:36? Great review once again Rob. Bet you loved Snowdon!
Really nice shots of the sus compressing and the drone shots of the climbing are fantastic! I feel totally vindicated having waited nearly a year for mine. Love it but need some riser bars too. Which did you get?
Thanks a ton! Burgtec 50mm ride high bars.
Thanks for the review Rob . . and nice camera work!
I was looking forward to your review but in the end couldn't wait any longer and ordered one a couple of months ago. I think it's great and I agree about tight peddling platform, in fact it sort of takes you by surprise when landing a jump, because then it's just so plush (btw I went for a coil on the rear which I think feels just excellent). Would love to know your thoughts on any comparisons with the Kenevo?
I will do some comparison vid with the Kenevo for sure!
@@RobRidesEMTB Awesome, definitely look forward to that.
Looked like Snowdon, Rob? Lots of fun on an E-bike!
Awesome vid as ever Rob. I suspected it was the descending God but like you, I'm surprised by the extent of the climbing ability. That usual compromise between climbing and descending abilities seems to have been conquered in this bike then. Would have been useful additional info if you'd commented on how it jumps and drops compared to mainstream sizing / geometry bikes we're all mostly used to. I've wanted one for a while. You've just added to the desire !! 👍
No issues with jumps or drops at all, I filmed many drops to flat on it to see it moving through the travel. With the long travel it gives me a bit more confidence knowing that I can case something and the bike will still handle it. Im not the best at jumping but I had no problem on 8-10 foot gaps, step downs, tables etc. Its very stable.
@@RobRidesEMTB Great thanks Rob
Is there ever a problem climbing with e bikes though?
Depends on what you want to climb.
I’ve been mulling a Pole for awhile. The new Onni is on the list. I’d do motor potentially, but not enough open e-bike trails here yet. Plus… I like the torture of pedaling.
You are def using all of that travel up
A great looking bike that’s all aluminium who would of thought it. interesting review Rob i look forwrd to more .
Seems like Pole really has done it with this bike. It checks all my boxes. I sold my Kenevo Expert… This will definitly rival that one.
Awesome Review 💪🏾💯
With a ST Angle at 80deg I would add a Fox40 200mm double crown fork and Fox DHX2 coil shock. That would make this the Ultimate Downhill eBike
Bonded, its glued.
This eMTB is very unique by look and geometry....!
Would love to see a gearbox on this setup. I'd buy tomorrow.
I’d be curious about the fox 38 on it too. And really my main desire would be to have the new ABS system available on it too! Any word on that being an option as it already has the Bosch system for the rest? Wasn’t sure if it was solely a “from the factory only” option to get ABS. Saw your video about ABS and was sold and was really interested in the pole when I saw your original video a while ago. This just confirms my hopes.
Thanks for the great content.
Great video Rob love this Pole should give you a discount code 😂
Rob, go out on your local trails on it and see if you PR all your previous downhill times...I bet you will.
Please Pair the EXT coil with a Fox 40!!!!!!
Fak, that design is awesome. I was to get a specialized, but when I saw the pole Im psyched on this.
I also want one!
Why did I watch this video?!?! I soooooo want one now 😢💸
the bob part was impressive.
i think this kind of tech should appear before the ebikes.
this bike make me curious that if the frame is that stiff, for a rider like me (which broke 4 wheels within about 5month) it might be too harsh for the rear wheel on it. is it?
Absaloutey love this ride ,I've been in contact with pole about getting one ,only issue was thd tax/vat into the UK, couple of grand extra on top of an already custom build ,plus 8k plus tax /vat over 10k as a matter of principle it's holding me from pulling the trigger just now. It's an incredible looking bike ,engineering/build options are fantastic .....Great review stunning bike
Yes, agree on taxes etc, as. purchase experience its always a bit off putting when you have to add additional fees on the price. Sadly theres no getting away from it! Might be more cost effective getting frameset and buying discounted parts in the UK (that I think we will see more of over the next few months with the current economic climate!)
Suuuurrrreeeellllyyyy it'd be cheaper if you spoke to a cycle shop in France to get one delivered to them and then take a quick journey over to pick it up and bring it back in the motor free of customs charges?
@@melissacharlottebrow I looked into flying to Finland anc picking up bike then returning back with it on my ticket ,but apparently there is still paper work needed that pole cannot yet supply ....I imagine it would be the same for France, they havd a duty tax ,and ypu can only buy direct from Pole
Yes, vat still required in France
I like the idea of being super human up snowdon!
Great video! How is it compared to your full power kenevo build?
Awesome bike! I am between the Voima and the new Cannondale Moterra LT as well as that Unno Mith, but I really like the Voima being longer travel. You mentioned the bike to be top on the climbs and the descents but less nimble in tight trail sections? So it needs more body movement in the tight? Anyways, awesome bike! Is there any chance you getting the Moterra LT for a test ride? Cheers!
This thing feels like a pagani huayra , on the weight issue with a lighter wheelset like dt swiss FR560, and XM481 and 240 or 180 hubs you'd drop a few hundred grams , and tyres also plus cassette , easily get this thing into the 23'skg range, and also carbon praxxis cranks - ebike approved..
Awesome bike no doubt.
Perkeele! thats the one Gold with the Bosh Race Motor, just need to rob the Bank 🤪
Isn't your one then??? 🤔
U built one few months ago though....well anyway I was waiting for this video for long time 😅
R we gonna see soon as well a first impression video about the Decoy ncaged???
Keep making this quality video Rob please
Greets from Austria
Superb review - many thanks.
I have two questions, if you do not mind:
1. What is the location for the aerial/drone shorts of this stony trail (you climbed up and rode down)?
2. Do you know if the rear triangle could be set-up with a Rohloff Speedhub A12 hub (148x12mm axle)?
Ideally I would run it this way with a Gates CDX belt equipped Rohloff Speedhub setup but let's take baby steps and first figure out if this hub is even an option.
Super bike 🚲
Great review and amazing footage. I'm curious, was that Snowdon you were climbing? I have done Snowdon on a bike and there was no way I could have cycled up it. It took us 3 and a half hours to push our bikes up it! Coming down was incredable though.
Yes it was! I could climb almost all of it on this bike.
@@RobRidesEMTB That is an amazing machine and you must be super fit.
Very nice bike, the big and heavy kind, but doesn't feel like that when you ride it. The Pole Stamina looks even more stunning, next to each other. :). But that power (voima) is immense. Nomen est omen.
