Similar to the case of the Gaddafi Anthem of Libya, whose origin was a simple march of the Egyptian army, the Dictator Hugo Chavez had in his crazy mind to change the National Anthem for the "Bravos de Apure Anthem", the anthem of a military Tank Battalion of the State of Apure, where he began his military career. His fanaticism was so great that he sang it at every public event and even on television.
The idea of ​​changing the National Anthem was not possible for two reasons, the first was that his fanaticism with Simon Bolivar prevented the change from being made (change "Gloria al Bravo Pueblo" is traition to Bolivar) but at the same time it was one of his dreams due to his self-fanaticism of the cult of personality. The second and main reason is that he died in 2013, and the new Dictator Maduro was no longer interested in the idea, even though it continues to be sung in honor of Hugo Chavez.
