I purchased 2 of the Vantrue E2's in February.....absolutely garbage. Customer service is very slow. Email exchanges happen over a couple of days and they ask you the same questions each time. Do yourself a favor....avoid the brand. They've basically been inoperable for 4 months. For a $250 dashcam, they need to do better.

Id say the Garmin Mini 2 is a consumer friendly option below $200 high end cams. Its also more compact id say.
There are only 2 types of dash cam people. Ones who park in a garage and ones who don't. If you park in a garage any dash will be fine. Those all record while driving and for the most part can help you in case of an accident. The ones who park outside want 24-7 monitoring. Can record and be viewed from anywhere. Until this type of car cam exists they all suck.

You know, if everything is excellent, then nothing is. I do like the video, and others I've seen from the channel, but it feels like the only way you had to describe all the dash cams was excellent. A good word for sure. But it made it seem like they were all the same. Could just be me though. Either way thank you. You helped me decide what to get.
They're all basically the same. You're not paying for quality (they all suck) but features & other crap. It's sad out here.

My neighbor got T-boned by a lady in a Benz who ran a red light. They fought him saying he did. next day he bought a dash cam for every car he had. A guy came into my lane while turning saying I should have went straight. We walked back to light where I showed him both lanes where turning lanes. 2 weeks later his insurance denied my claim. stating I ran into him. Dash cams are a must. I've even helped out people who needed a witness to a wreck.

The Dirty Little Secret with Amazon is they seem to sell the same item when actually the items are different. I went and bought Klipsch speakers from both Amazon and Costco that were the same model. However, the ones from Costco were heavier and sounded WAY better. Viofo A119 V3 EATS/RUINS memory cards! Bought specific SD cards for dash cams camera ruined all of them!!

I reckon memory cards are damaged due to the faulty units. In every production quality control there is an acceptable percentage of between 1% to 5% products with defaults in one way or another. It is all machine automation produced. Same as car production or spare parts manufactured. Just complain to Viofo and request for replacement unit or get another model. Can request for refund as well. Good luck.

Vantrue N4 is cool and all but the memory card keeps having to be Formated and it's annoying. Also I cant figure out how to update the firmware.

@@TheNotorious9 I have Blink system of 5 and it’s awful. It either triggers when some bug flies by or does not trigger when person/car drives by. I’d never recommended it.

If I am not mistaken you can share data from your cellphone to your dashcam, you will have to turn on the option, it's call hit spot, you can find the steps on internet, how to turn on hot spot and the brand of your cell phone
And on the dashcam you just connect it to your hotspot and all done, you will have "Wifi" while driving
It connects to your data. Not your hotspot. You open up your Wi-Fi on your phone like you’re connecting to your home Wi-Fi. You find the dash cam in the list. And you connect. Most of them with tell you there’s “no internet connected” the camera now works for the app that usually comes with them. I can’t use these because I use my hotspot for my car stereo. I don’t use Bluetooth. I could use Bluetooth, but I don’t like the audio from it. So I run Spotify directly from my stereo. If you use Bluetooth in your car then these cameras would be a good option. I have seen this video several times. You reviewed each camera so well I couldn't make up my mind. I just got a new car and didn't want to rip the old one out of my other car. I was ordering a new Modem Router Combo and didn't want to go through checkout twice, so I went with the first one, the N-4.

I need a camera that will show EVERYTHING! The front, inside the cabin ( is a must ) and the rear. Any suggestions ? I have to have the camera record me / and my driver side window.
Look for 360 cameras. Avoid the ones that connect to your phone. Incredibly irritating.
Your post scream Vantrue N4. Their biggest downside is no connectivity to bluetooth/wifi, but I think the simplicity helps avoids having buggy issues and keep the cost down for have 4k front and 3 cameras total.

I have three Rove R2 4K in my vehicles. It records as soon as it's plugged into the cigarette lighter. Or if your lighter is powered all the time, it will stay on and keep recording.
How is the picture quality at night? Does it record the plates clearly?
@@negin8537 It is very good quality especially for as little as it costs. I would check out people's reviews of it on youtube to make the best comparison. I can't really say how far away it can read a plate at night though. I've watched some night videos of it at night, but it was mostly for the overall scene, not just trying to pick out a plate.

They’re all USB controlled. You can buy a different cable than us provided and plug into a USB port in your car, OR, you can buy a different cable and buy a cigarette lighter socket splitter..

It already paid for itself 4 times over since it has closed insurance accident cases 3x times already. I just submit the video and it’s done. No feet dragging about who’s at fault.

The logistics of cords, plug in, cord length etc are a huge thing. How about something useful.
Garmin mini 2 app sucks, just witnessed an accident, some puto reported me because I left after the accident (of course, I wasn't involved). Cops came to my house and I couldn't download the video to proof, but my truck wasn't damaged, that's how they justified me. It's almost impossible to get videos.
