Gathering Builds for ALL Professions!

  • Following • More GOLD, Same Effort... I got quite a few questions about the gathering builds used in that specific video. So I figured I'd share that one, as well as all builds I could come up with for every single profession.
Some professions, such as the elementalist, ranger, and warrior, don't have the best tools to gather. They often lack ways to maintain permanent quickness outside of combat. Or they used to... With all of the tools we've gained access to in the past expansions, we can make gathering builds that work for every single one of them. For every single elite specialization even!
Some of the builds will be highly specialized, such as those for deadeyes, and scrappers. While others will be more general builds, like the ones for the firebrand and herald, who already have an amazing toolkit to gather in the open world.
    Let's gather!

Tips from an engineer who uses the choya pinata tonic and executioner's axe all the time: the pinata tonic can be improved by both quickness and superspeed, but only movement speed buffs affect the axe. They go about the same distance with these buffs up so if you have one and not the other it's no big deal. The only reason you might use both at once is if you need to use one within a second of the other, as there's a really short cooldown on the axe movement skill (which you gotta hold, btw, not just press once, and then weapon swap at the end to cancel the animation). Final tip: if there is another choya pinata near you and you hit each other, one of you will get knocked down. Rare, but beware!

Thanks! I've gotten knocked down more than I care to admit in fractals 😅

Great guide. For builds that didn't have a good access to quickness I used the endless shiny chest tonic to trigger the jade protocols which I think I got from a world boss rush, the only issue i ran into there's a small number of builds that it would give me a debuff when triggering the tonic.

As a player who always gathers volatile magic but is not fond of switching characters all the time - I thank thee! 🤩

I am the same :) I'd rather keep playing whatever character I'm playing instead of hopping around.

@@phandrel Not sure if you will see this, but I wanted to reach out and ask you something.
I am currently farming ice shards in Bjora Marches and I am thinking of exchanging them for volatile magic and then buy Trophy Shipments.
I need tier 5 and 6 materials so I can craft Condensed Might and Magic. I need those to craft my Legendary Armor Pieces (from raids).
      My question is:
Is it cheaper to buy trophy shipments with gold and volatile magic and then craft Condensed Might and Magic or is it better to just buy the goods from the trading post?
I am struggling to decide if I should just buy the materials from the TP. My last calculations show that I need about 2,300 gold to buy the required materials (not including my stock of some materials). Thank you for your time!

      @phandrel  Před měsícem +2

@@user-xx7nh9su2k Trophy shipments cost less than the value they provide, so those should be your first go to. If you get an excess of T5 materials, you can even convert those to T6 in the mystic forge (currently only worth doing with Vials of Blood, Venom Sacs, Totems, and Scales).
Usually I only buy what I need from the TP when I'm close to being done with all the other avenues, as you don't really get any "discounts" so to speak on there.

Just makie sword necro. Berserker works, Diviner makes it a bit funnier even. Charge batteries and get at least offensive protocolls (can also nab defensive too because the aegis helps to mount up still). Spam Gorge to deal damage to yourself and to traverse big distances. Taking damage will give you all the buffs like quickness etc. You basically have perma quickness, alacrity, and whatsoever.

  • @aidonis98

The answer to all of this, is the build you omited. Herald is the apex gathering build. Easiest quickness in the game, and with a power build can just auto attack all but elites to death in near seconds.
