#90smusic #electrónica #derrygirls - Hudba
I recently had to go for chemotherapy, I created a playlist to listen to whilst having treatment, this song happened to be first. It never failed to lift my spirits and in some way got me through a very difficult time, I still get a lump in my throat wherever I hear it.
You guys will probably never read this comment but if you do I want to say the biggest thank you.
Up the Alex!!
There is a vibrational frequency that can cure cancer that you can do at home. There are herbs of many types that prevent cancer that are never included in our diet that grow wild in abundance. Forage them for free. There are “foods” you can cut out that cause cancer (like sugar and starch). Fasting prevents cancer and creates new stem cells for healing. Look all of that up please. The cure exists.
Start with Dr Eric Berg and Dr Mandell on CZcams. I’ll point you in the right direction if you want. It will all sound crazy to you because we were brought up on lies but it works. We’ve always known the cure but it was withheld for profit.
i od'd and imagined this song
so kinda the same
losing my breath per second
Good luck to you!
I definitely came across your comment, I hope all went well. You seem like a strong person, you can beat this!
I wish you all the Best. I'm also not Sure if i am healty. But we had a very good time with beautiful music and Personal freedom
A minute of silence for those who are still looking for this song.
It's not really difficult to find honestly!
I had to text my sister who lives in nz it’s 12 am here but 4am there I built this song up she pulled through tho and I made it here woooo I asked her “what’s that tema ha ha ha song” lol
I dont think so, Shazam brought me here🤟

The 90s had the best music ❤
Yeah, definitely.
LOVE the music here; LOVE the video. 😊❤🎵
You do know this is a rip off.
The original is from the 80s. Life in a Northern Town
@@taraleonard3892 Hmm, it heavily samples that song, yes, but it's not exactly a re-make of it. (That's not exactly the same thing, is it!)
@@kathleenmaclachlan1541 never said it was a remake or the same thing 👍🏼
Orla Dancing to this in the Derry Girls Finale was one of the most beautiful moments on TV history.
You are 100% correct my friend. 👌👌👍👍
The whole episode was utterly joyous but yes, this opening was fantastic!
Agreed. The opening and conclusion to the finale were so beautifully crafted. Derry Girls sure did leave on a high
Best opening of a last series, ever; perfect...and a great anthem.
And absolutely phenomenal acting and dancing from the first scene to the end of the song
Man I miss the 90s so much! Take me back to better days.
GRRECE IS FREE NOW !!!!!!! BRAVOOOOO !!!!!!!!!!
1990's wow.. 😥if you're going there I'm coming with.... for sure!

Happy head music 🤗
Keep you’re depression at bay go for a walk every day ditch fake people remember no friends are better than fake ones make time for what makes you happy and everything annoying can piss of I used to suffer with depression for many years and Iv been threw hell since and it hasn’t came back
Oh, me too!
A fantastic sampling of the Dream Academy's Life in a Northern Town from 1985 👍👍
Not heard this in about 20 years, was driving and stopped at a red light and someone stopped next to me and this song was playing. Listening now I’m sat here with tears in my eyes like a wimp😂. The late 90s were the best time of my life without question. Everyone seemed happy and just getting on with life the best they could and then sh*t like 9/11, Iraq and Afghanistan were around the corner. I miss these days like a family member who died....
You may be recalling the song Life in a Northern Town by Dream Academy. Which this one rips the chorus chant from.
Nothing wimpish cos you get emotional listening to a track AIC1970. It's a great piece of music. Very uplifting. Keep on listening and keep being emotional. It's called being human x
Everything was better back then.

nostaliga, brother, me too, I was 14 in 1999.. but imagine the folks who for example were working in the banking/computer/networking sector, and had to deal with the massive shit with the systems going into Y2K..for them, probably it was hell, and one of those folks was stopping at a red light, and heard September from Earth, Wind & Fire, and he started crying. This generation will cry in 20yrs, listening to Chainsmoekrs - Selfie..
I swear Derry Girls has an amazing playlist. And Orla's dance 🔥❤
FR
It was just amazing seeing her dance through this track what a great scene 🤟🏼
Yeah that was so amazing
That`s why I^m here ... 😂
The part when Orla dances to this song with the Irish Step Dancing Kids... I thought that was cute
Who is here in 2024 and sharing the CZcams Video with family and friends?.
90's music is so much better than what we have these days.
I was born in '89 and my childhood in the 90's was amazing. 🥰
I am 32 years old now, and in my head I still live in the 90's, but I love that.
The 90's were great. ❤️
Better life, better music. ❤️❤️
I was also born in 89 too. Music from around the time this song was released makes me wish i could travel back into time.
Same here!
I was also born in 1989 and I'm also 32. I was either in Kansas or Maryland when this song came out. Long live 1990s music
😹🤦♂️ this would be the music that sampled heavily from dream Academy life in a Northern town from 14 years earlier?
I was born in 89 😂😂and have to say music when we were kids is so much better than music today!!!! This sounds amazing when at high volume so ladies and gents you have to get it up there 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️
Respect for the people who came here because they generally like this song and not because of Derry girls
sorry to ask , but what are Derry girls ? I came here because of I didn‘t knew that this song was a „cover“ from DreamAcademy‘s „life in a northern town“ back in the 80‘s :)
@@xtraOhrdiNAIR Oh it's fine it's a TV Show it's on Netflix is quite good actually 👍:)

Orla's dance in Seasn 3 finale summed up all the emotion from when i first heard this song 20 plus years ago....pure joy!
Same lol, brings back great memories :). That's the thing about getting old, you forget the names to all the great songs.
I first heard this song when I was 17 and here I am at 42 feeling young again. I love these old songs :)
I heard this at 41

Who else is smiling in 2021 because of this timeless tune? I hope lots of you are as you deserve happiness!
My mom and I always greatly enjoyed this song when it was shown on MTV back in the day... :)
Came on yesterday while I was driving in my car... wow, made me feel all kinds of emotions. Weird that a song can do that to you, it gives me a pure nostalgia
My mom got a huge ass bonus and she bought a mini cooper and I was so young and had a ton of little blond curls. Good memories
Still bopping! This song will never get old 😅💃
Me!
My little boy was born to this song. He was 3 months premature. This song has a lot of meaning for me
I hope your son is good
God bless you Sir

I was also premature, Martin. 26 weeks in 1983.
That kid is gonna be a raver. Bless up!
I guess I am not the only one who is desperately looking back at 90s remembering the best times and feelings. Those were the days! Not sure what good is left nowadays.
sigh, i know.
Lots of regret not knowing what a fucking shite future was ahead lol
I’m here coz of Orla’s dance in the last episode of Derry Girls. I rewatch the first 5 minutes and the last 5 minutes again and again. Brilliant tv.
You're not alone with the power that those moments brought to someone, I welled up when I heard it, reminds of a time when I too was full of hopes and dreams !
Thought I was the only one.
So am I! Orla's dance was my TV moment of the year( so far)- unless England or Wales win Qatar '22
Sad that you did not know this before and all the other good stuff
a good example of how to make a wonderful pop song into a dance track without ruining the original
Took me about 20 years, but I finally found it again. Thanks for uploading!
Robin amazing song dude i love it
Me too.
Haha me too!!! Like I would be replaying it in my head for years wondering what the hell its called lol
I hope you're exaggerating with the 20 years man! Fuckkkk.

Mate I have been looking for this for years im so happy I found this beauty,This was a huge hit back in the 90s but is so forgotten now, such a shame
Beardy Ry right,! I thought this was the anthem for the big football matches during that time or am I mistaken
Beardy Ry it’s making a slow comeback every song from the 80s and 90s are making their way into 2019 now
Lets request this song to JUST DANCE GAME!! Even Dario G and the Dream Academh would want everyone to remember this song!! ❤❤❤
Couldn't agree more such a good tune
The whole hook of the song was “Ripped Off” from this song from the 80s czcams.com/video/X5uxQElYu68/video.html
Every time i watch this videoclip i'm drunk and sad because i m thinking back of the days when life was simple and beautifull

Yes, the good old days when society mostly held fast to its integrity... long before males could legally identify as females, and females could legally identify as males. Long before somebody could legally marry their dog. Long before the LGBTQISHDBCPLE movement. Etc.etc.
Indeed, no smartphones, no social media.
I always cry at this song, it's from a time when my brother was still alive, adulthood hadn't hit me yet, and I was free

Love this song I was only 20 at the time where did all them years go ?
I was 12, and loved it. I had a tape with this song among other great ones and I played it all day long.
The other songs that I remember on that tape were:
Bamboleo - Garcia
Free From Desire - Gala
Uh La La La - Alexia
Alane - Wes
Amore Alla Italiana - Leo Verde
Ya Habibi Yalla - Alabina & Gypsy Kings
Had the 2 and 3 year olds at my nursery/preschool dancing to this today in the garden! Moving to the music, playing instruments and wishing the sunshine to come out. None of that baby shark nonsense here 😎🌞☀️
This comment always makes me smile, I have a 4 year old girl an she loves to groove to this!

I had no idea this was a real song. I saw it in Derry Girls. Had no idea it was from the 90s. What a happy song. I put it on while I work and I feel so productive.
It's from 1985, definitely not 90's nor originally a dance track. Look up "Life in a Northern Town.". Also 100% northen English, not sure how it got used in so many African themed videos.

I haven’t heard this in many MANY years and the strangest thing happened… As a grown ass man, I suddenly burst into tears, like… Sobbing! As I’m typing this with it playing in the background, I’m struggling to keep it together again! Haha. 34 now but I think I was like 9 when this first came out. I loved it then but I guess it got brain-locked away in a special place to be found 20+ years later for no apparent reason! I grew up in the UK and moved to the US to be with my Dad at 16… I lost him to COVID in 2021 and the realization has yet to set in still (which is weird within itself) but this suddenly brought over a massive sense of emotion that I really needed.
