This didn't need to be settled. Everyone knows Tom and Zendaya's show will probably never be beaten. Even if it was individual performances Tom would be number 1 and Zendaya would be Top 10/5. Zendaya's performance would have easily crushed almost everyone on this list. The only reason her performance doesn't get the recognition it deserves is because it was against Tom Holland. Even Bruno himself rated it.
Absolutely, both of their performances were fantastic, but Zendaya's performance deserves more recognition. She WAS Bruno Mars for a second, and Bruno even sent her flowers for it!! Her dancing and acting were impeccable, unfortunately, Tom Holland sort of stole her thunder with Umbrella. A deserved win, but bring Zendaya's performance back into the light!
Yes! This!! I mean I’m not gonna lie, I myself choose tom’s performance over hers. But I honestly think his performance is one of the very few that would’ve ever beaten zendaya. Honestly it was a really good match up. Because anyone else paired up with either of them would’ve been obliterated. So at least it was a fair battle haha

I agree 100000000%. Tom Holland won that episode for me the second his music changed and, as I like to think, he Glee'd it. That mashup, his look & his theatrics made it a performance that no one may ever top. Zendaya as Bruno would have won against anyone else, but Tom was unbeatable. I'm just glad she went first because how could anyone go on after that?

Channing looked like straight-up drag trash in both of his performances. Hideous. Tom Holland (and JGL) showed guys how to do it right.

Channing and John Kraskinski both looked liked they'd been dared to dress up as women for some macho humiliation thing; they had to make sure they looked as manly as possible even when in drag. Tom and JGL actually took it seriously and their performances are remembered because of it. Especially Tom's which was, ironically, an extremely ballsy thing to do given he was just starting out his career as an action movie star and was virtually unknown in America at the time.
But Jenna....I think I would put her performance as #2. She was amazing!!

I would say Anne Hathaway put Lip Sync Battle on the map, followed by Channing Tatum who elevated the battle even further. And Tom Holland totally killed the battle and at league of his own, in which no one has able to beat him yet.

Tom Holland’s performance can not be watched enough times. I never tire of seeing it and I’m always as impressed by it say the fiftieth time I’ve seen it as the very first time. The only thing I can’t recreate is my astonishment at his changeover after the short beginning of Singing in the Rain, but it doesn’t matter since his performance is so fantabulous and totally spot on! I remain jealous only of his flexibility & present partner!! 😉🥰

I recently rewatched two videos of NPH hosting the 2012 & 2013 Tonys, the Opening Acts, and I don’t even recall how many times he changed costumes but theater ppl have help and a place in back for their clothing. (By the by, he knocked both numbers out of the park!) But anyhoo- I always wonder where Spider-Man & Superman hide their clothing bc fights pop up, robberies occur on the spur of the moment & it’s not as if they are constantly carrying a bag or something into which they can store their outfits… And I don’t recall Superman’s monetary situation but Spider-Man is always on the edge of poverty so constantly losing clothing would be a really big deal.
