Just a quick question what’s the reason for the hooks facing in ? Or dosent it matter

its a old rule which if you follow wont lead you astray but and long as the load(shackle) is in the bowl of the hook hitting the meat of the hook thats all that matters. in set ups like this its actually easier to unhook with hooks facing in and as the chains get heavier on 4 point loads like this it gets really hard to unhook of hooks are facing out. if your choking something with 2 chains hooks should face out, what you dont want is any part of the load on or near the latch. ill do a vid on it for you its a good topic
