    I learned the square knot as "right over left, left over right". If you do the first one twice as shown here and then left over right you have a "surgeon's locking knot" that will not come loose. Some folks will replace their laces with paracord but I did it with "Survivor Cord" which has extra strands of waxed jute, fishing line and snare wire. Those laces stay stiff due to the wire and hold their shape no matter what.

    Wow, that's exactly how I tie my laces now. I didn't learn this better technique until about 5 years ago.
    NEVER comes untied !

      Well there you go.... it is a handy tip for a shoelace knot. I'll show another one soon called the BERLUTI knot for shoes, it's even tighter and another good one.
