Watch the brand-new trailer for #AHauntingInVenice, only in theaters September 15.
The unsettling supernatural thriller based upon the novel “Hallowe’en Party” by Agatha Christie and directed by and starring Oscar® winner Kenneth Branagh as famed detective Hercule Poirot, will open in theaters nationwide September 15, 2023.
“A Haunting in Venice” is set in eerie, post-World War II Venice on All Hallows’ Eve, “A Haunting in Venice” is a terrifying mystery featuring the return of the celebrated sleuth, Hercule Poirot. Now retired and living in self-imposed exile in the world’s most glamorous city, Poirot reluctantly attends a séance at a decaying, haunted palazzo. When one of the guests is murdered, the detective is thrust into a sinister world of shadows and secrets.
Reuniting the team of filmmakers behind 2017’s “Murder on the Orient Express” and 2022’s “Death on the Nile,” the film is directed by Kenneth Branagh with a screenplay by Oscar® nominee Michael Green (“Logan”) based upon Agatha Christie’s novel Hallowe’en Party. The producers are Kenneth Branagh, Judy Hofflund, Ridley Scott, and Simon Kinberg, with Louise Killin, James Prichard, and Mark Gordon serving as executive producers. A brilliant acting ensemble portrays a cast of unforgettable characters, including Kenneth Branagh, Kyle Allen (“Rosaline”), Camille Cottin (“Call My Agent”), Jamie Dornan (“Belfast”), Tina Fey (“30 Rock”), Jude Hill (“Belfast”), Ali Khan (“6 Underground”), Emma Laird (“Mayor of Kingstown”), Kelly Reilly (“Yellowstone”), Riccardo Scamarcio (“Caravaggio’s Shadow”), and recent Oscar winner Michelle Yeoh (“Everything Everywhere All at Once”). - Krátké a kreslené filmy
It's heartening to see that Michelle Yeoh is finally getting the recognition she deserves and getting offered more diverse roles than the usual Asian archetypes.
Yes great to see the Malaysian Oscar-Winning Actress Michelle Yeoh
Sadly shes the one who gets murdered at the start of the movie so not much diversity in that practically all white cast
@@noyesyesno8277yeah how sad for you that a movie that takes place in early 20th century Venice isn't filled with shanequas and deshawns...
@emiami458 how sad for you that you're so hateful and racist. They're talking about an Asian actor btw, your pathetic comment towards 'black' names is moot.
@@emiami458that demonic hatred in your heart is going to eat you alive. They were talking about the lovely Michelle Yeoh but you had to take a shot at Black people.
I know these movies usually aren’t hugely successful at the box office so I’m very appreciative they keep making them. They have been well made and fun to watch.
I agree I have enjoy all of them so far! I hope they don’t stop
I can say it's the best movie I've seen in a long time.
The first one was very successful. The second had to deal with the pandemic, but it was a great movie.
this is really good movies
Orient Express made money. Plenty successful. The only reason Nile didn't was Pandemic.
The first two movies were superb but this, this was something else. The cinematography, the performance of Poirot, everything. It is one of the most unique and creative Agatha Christie adaptations I've ever seen. Please do not stop making them, I'll watch each and every one.

Me too! I love murder mystery genre films. I just wish there was more of a WOW FACTOR during the 3rd act reveal. What book do you think they'll do next? Whataya think about my Haunting in Venice drawings on my channel? Lemme know.
Me three
@XANSEM Which book should they do next? I think the director struggled again with the 3rd act reveal. Whataya think about my Haunting in Venice drawings on my channel? Let me know.
What's the others movie name?
It probably won't be a full on horror movie, but the mere presence of those semi-horror elements makes this one of the most unusual but also interesting ideas I've seen this year. I'm curious how well it'll do after release.
I feel like this is going to go the Sherlock Holmes route with RD Junior, where there was a Satanic cult leader who pretend he was using magic when in actuality it was just scientific tricks….
I’m sending a similar route
Poirot draws heavy influence from Sherlock Holmes, it could only ever have been something along those lines
I can't stop thinking Tina Fey as Lemon lol
@@wyntonmcallister3234 its actually adapting Agatha Christie! She's famous for these types of 'Who did it' type stories.
@@wyntonmcallister3234which Sherlock Holmes tale is this anyway?
Now THIS is how you make a sequel. Throw the characters into a different genre, and watch it unfold. This looks like it's going to be better than the last two movies. Very few movies are afraid to switch genres, especially with the third movie in the series. For that reason alone, I hope that this is a great success. It's great when movies try something different.
other movies?
can u please give me the name
While it's definitely more horror inspired, I don't it'll stay that far from the rest of the series. I think it's gonna be like the RDJ Sherlock Holmes movie, where it seems like there is some sort of supernatural phenomenon going on but towards the end everything gets revealed to have a somewhat rational explanation.
I like how they try to put something new for the sequel.
glad i wasn't the only few ones thought the Nile one was trash and the Express one was mediocre.
@@samisfun868I mean Nile one sure could have been better, but Orient Express Was certainly good for my standards with the last explanation given
Bruh they need to market this movie better. The only reason I knew it existed was because I saw a poster of it on my at out of the theater. I wouldn’t have guessed it was a sequel if I hadn’t seen his distance appearance either. I’m excited as hell for this movie though
Then we better promote it our selves as hell. I love these movies
Loved loved loved the movie! Murder mysteries are always a win for me. Also, you can never go wrong with an Agatha Cristie novel adaptation. Perfect watch for Halloween! The casting was great paired with eerie atmosphere and throbbing suspense. Don't mind the critic and go watch the movie already.
Watch the David Suchet version - Halloween Party. It is played as the story was written. More modern does not make it better.
Hercule Poirot is BACK!!!! And nothing can stop him!!!

So very excited for this! I hope they make 10 Poirot movies. They are true cinematic masterpieces!! I don’t understand why it’s not more popular!
Because some people prefer the older Adaptations of these Books/ Movies. Personally i like the new ones too and wish they make more of them
@@Aldiraider Perhaps they prefer more FAITHFUL adaptations. This really shouldn't even use Agatha Christie's name, it's such a mishmash. Kenneth Branagh should be ashamed of what he's done to the legacy of Agatha Christie and one of her greatest characters, Hercule Poirot.
this might be the one with the quality they wanted to achieve since the first one…a unique take on a poirot story, well done Kenneth, love that that man doesn’t give up
I love that we have these detective films with Branagh’s Poirot and Craig’s Blanc. Now all we need is Downey’s Holmes to make a comeback. It’s a nice genre of film that is a breath of fresh air

I watched this movie yesterday in Paris. For me is the best of the trilogy. Lovely photography. Venice was so beautiful on screen. The best performances were Kenneth and Michell, and also the boy reading EAP. This is about to be my favorite Halloween movie for a while. The 1974 version of Murder on the Orient is also quite good. There are around 50 films in total. The first from 1928 so almost 100 years ago.
This is the 4th movie since 2017 remake of Murder on the Orient Express, Crooked House was also released in 2017. Last year 2022, a remake of Murder on the Nile was released and now one of Poirots last detective stories Halloween Party has been released right before Halloween.

Well, I just saw this movie yesterday. I didn't have a chance to write down my reviews. So I'm doing it now while I have some time. I was about 30 of us to go and see this movie. And a theater of 60 five, so probably about a 1/2 wanted to go see this movie. My review was I enjoyed it very much as a matter of fact, I have to applaud that they got me. They set the mystery up so well that I could not figure out who the killer was and usually I can figure out who these killers are within 30 minutes of a movie by a stumped me on this one. They threw me for a loop and I didn't see it so congratulations. I hope there's another one to follow this movie. My review is I give it a 13 out of 13 skulls and say definitely check this one out.
Hercule is up for a new challenge that will test his resolve, beliefs, and sanity. However, he has one thing going for him. Only the living would kill someone to cover something up.
Obviously, David Souchet will always be the Hercule Poirot.
However, what Kenneth Brannagh is bringing to the cinematic with Poirot is truly wonderful, and I hope this is a universe that brings many more stories to the big screen cause I am all for it 😊

Also the theme song to that show was a banger. John Malkovich as Herc in the ABC murders adaptation is also grossly underrated.
A Haunting in Venice wasn’t really what I was expecting, but it kept me interested throughout most of it with it’s interesting shots, all-star cast, and a Knives Out style story.
Saw this today. Can confirm it was excellent. The best of the three Brannaugh films for Poirot!
