Fun fact: the King in 3 and onwards is King 2, he was a orphan who took the mantle after the first King was killed by Ogre.
Yeah first King got murdered in a Bar Fight. I'm hoping the Second Armor King shows up as DLC. I used to main him in Tekken 7.

Victor seems really cool ive been playing a ton of bryan jun and jin but i wanna dabble with some other characters for sure. Tekken 8 has such a stacked roster.
Also to deions credit i respect the simple controls for the first time ive seen him try jin out cause as someone who plays him i understand how difficult he is to play lol

I main hwoarang but I've noticed online and super ghost battles that everyone blocks way more then they did in tekken 7 and because of that I've started using King and have proudly memorized his heavy damaging screwdriver grab chain lol

It's a bug with customized characters. Trick is to bind special controls to L3 so you can just push in the stick when they show up.
So special controls are L1 by default to turn it on and off. You have to completely turn them off in the options

Does anyone know if lotus is on stick or pad? Im debating if i should buy a fight stick or not
Only get a stick if you absolutely want to use one or if you feel comfortable using one already. Highkey there no real edge from either of them. If you’re worried about harder inputs like 2+4 or 1+3 you can bind them to one button. Honestly the only controller that gives you an edge in fighting games is a hitbox.

While infinite stages are cool, they promoted defensive play for T7 as you could just keep away, that's rather antithetical to the aggressive play pushed in T8 so I don't mind there not being any infinite stages

King is one of the easiest tekken characters to learn/play and a menace in low ranks due to others not really knowing what to look for during grabs/throws

Im glad i found someone who has special controls randomly tweak on them and turn on at the start of the game. I literally can't just unbind the button like i want to because TWICE now in an online lobby it has turned on randomly. Luckily one of those instances was against a ghost and the other was the rank calibration bot but dammit that was enough to give me hella trust issues.
Yeah the exact same thing happened to me and I had to learn my lesson the hard way lol. I unbinded the button then jump in a lobby with my homie on his stream and it was on by itself. I couldn't turn it off in match so I just had to let the person win, back out, and bind the button again. Kind of annoying tbh but not the end of the world. Hopefully it gets fixed though.

How fun is tekken ive never played it and was thinking about trying it. But I heard the online is bad?
It’s personally my favorite fighting game. The only has improved immensely and if you use a wired connection you won’t run into any stuttering unless your opponent plays on McDonald WiFi.
