500.000 subscribers, thank you everyone! To celebrate this special milestone, I decided to make a piano arrangement of one of my favorite songs: Sayonara Memories!
It's the 12th track from Supercell's second studio Album, "Today is a beautiful day" and one of my favorite J-pop songs of all time. I am a big admirer of Ryo - supercell's composer - because his ability to create timeless melodies is almost unmatched by any other J-pop artists. Yanagi Nagi's heavenly voice also contributes a lot to bring out the best of Ryo's compositions.
This piano arrangement is one of the most advanced arrangement I ever made, both technically demanding and musically interesting. It features many polyphonic passages, virtuosic right hand movements and an exciting "original" finale at the end - a culmination of all my arrangements in the past 5 years on CZcams. It's the very definition of "Animenz style" and one of my best arrangement I've ever done so far.
Therefore, I want to thank everybody who were supporting me in the past 5 years, because without them, Animenz wouldn't be the same today.

see kids, this is why you study classical music. Because then you can do stuff like this. I'm convinced the reason why Animenz is the number 1 anime cover person on the internet is because of his knowledge of classical music. He employs so many different techniques to produce a variety of different sounds. Scales, arpeggios, billions of chords, varying dynamics between individual fingers, it's all there.

Animenz! Holy shit, it seems like every couple of months you get subscriber special videos lolol. Well in any case, I really think this is something to be celebrated, the fact that anime piano became something this amazing, and to have so much attention, that your channel has grown to half a million subscribers.
I don't know if this will last forever, but I hope it does for a long time. Let's make the anime piano community bigger! Congrats for your 500,000 subscribers Animenz, I will say: 100% well deserved. I can feel all the care you put into every note, and that is inspiring.

高校３年間、とても早かったなぁ〜
3年間のうち、2年半は部活に捧げて休みとかほとんど部活で、帰る時もクラスの友達に部活ガンバ〜とか言われて帰りたい気持ち抑えて部活に行ってた気がする。その時は辛いし、帰りたかったし、遊びたかった。けど、それも終わってからは達成感とかもあったな〜。残りの半年はだらけたりしたけどそれもそれで楽しかった。
自分にとって最高の高校生活と胸張って言えるとは思えないけど、友達も出来て、先輩後輩とも出会えてなんだかんだ楽しかった。
最初はこんな高校とか思ってたけど、終わりが近づくにつれそんな思いも消えていい高校とも思える。
こんな楽しい日々をありがとう。
そして、最高の思い出をありがとう。

+Gian Reyes. It's called Sayonara Memorizu by Ryo. Look up Supercell video. It is my favourite song and I also have the piano piece for it. It's about a girl who had a crush i high school and used to get out of her way to walk with her crush home never revealing how much she loved him. Until the end. it is a reflection of Ryo's childhood. Also search for Supercell - Hero. Again teenage crushes. Supercell is a really a studio band with animators and would be prominent in the anime sound scene.

Man, I remember when I first saw the MV. It was after I realised that Supercell was the same group who did the Monogatari ED, World is Mine and Melt. Immediately I knew I wanted more of Ryo, and found his second album. To think that it's been 4 years since I heard this particular song. Even till this day, I find myself confusing the Monogatari ED's video with the music video of this one.
