I remember seeing car swamp coolers in a old Sears advertisement from the 50s I found a long time ago, they mounted on the window and the air moving through it while driving was the circulation. Looked like a small rocket launcher hooked on the side of the car!
This is a better version of what I built as a broke college kid for my bedroom in the summer. I just used a Rubbermaid rectangular tub with computer fans. The setup you've got looks durable and portable. Nice! Great to see how far (formerly baby Luke) toddler Luke has come. You're living the life, sir 👌
Nice design on the swamp cooler. My brother lives in Bullhead city and definitely likes his swamp cooler. Here in Northern Indiana we have to cool with AC; a way more expensive way to cool.
Living in AZ: Stay in shade, keep water/fluids in ya, Airflow is a must. If you must be in the sun, cover all your skin as much as possible. Sunburn sucks. Been here since '89. Never leaving.
I'm on the road to turbocharging my 85 Z28. And that factory AC needs to gooo. Anyway I get everything else but the mat being used and that water pump?

Yeah I almost built that, but they need special work etc. So I built this so I can toss it into any car I want

Thanks. Life isn't without it's struggles but I'm thankful

Bullhead is right down the road from me, it's hot and dry over there... which is why his evaporative cooler works so well
Actually pretty cool.
Good update and good to see the family.
Happy Motoring.
Thanks!
Long time from U.K
Thanks!

Yup
Pretty cool brother
Might have my first see if itll run video up tomorrow. If i can talk my camera girl into it😃
Thats pretty cool
Works best with a gutted bucket on top keeping fresh air from mixing with cooled air
I need to make one now.
I might add something to the top to keep it fed fresh air, they work best that way
Also curious how it works related to relative humidity in the atmosphere
The drier it is... the better
That's super clever!
Thanks
Cool
Works even better with half a bucket on top to keep intake air from mixing with the cooler wet air it puts out
Nice !!!!!
Thanks
I’d be interested to know how much it drop the temperature
Серьезная штука, адаптация в тачку будет? 🤔
