All healthcare facilities need to go back to paper charting and documentation. I am so sick of having to deal with all of this digital bullsht as a patient. I can't even get my own medical records to my own GP anymore! These EMRs are all about making the wrong people money and violating our privacy!

People don’t realize, this can happen at any healthcare system. And for those who say we forgot to care for patients when the computers went off, the computer is a form of evidenced based practice that assist us in care accuracy and medication safety.

I work at a hospital on the oregon coast and it is chaos going to paper as we are geared for work on computers these days. A couple hours is a nightmare. It reminds me of the hospital on the movie, 'Idiocracy'.

Bet the Administration got their pay checks. One at the tune of,13.8 Million!! Found that out from people who work in the community and Sen Baldwin is investigating them.

Why is it so hard to find a medical malpractice attorney? And why aren't the EMR systems illegal??
I can't even get ahold of my own medical records, never had these issues before EMRs.

The way things are these days, critical computer systems such as in power plants, water plants, hospitals and etc should not be on the internet. It appears these hacks can't be stopped, no matter what is done. Companies don't want to spend the money for the proper cyber security and specialists. So this keeps happening over and over again. Maintaining dependence of vulnerable systems to the online sewer seems foolish to me. Time to go back to standalone data systems connected by specialized data links separate from the internet. Such as the old DEC Vaxes, and Decnet. Same with ATMs and credit/debit cards. They should be banned and shutdown until they can be made proof from skimming, shimming and other crime problems. The card systems are better protected by newer technology in Europe. But the banks here just don't want to spend the money to adopt it and roll it out. They need to be forced to do it by government action. Problem is, the corporations own our government, it's lawmakers and regulators, so I don't see much hope.

They should have left it on paper and not EMR. EMR is horrible for health care systems. More mistakes have been made since EMR.

Blame the Government, If you are not on an EMR, you get a penalty on your CMS reimbursements

@@JohnSmith-dc1xf YES!! Was a32 year healthcare worker. The computers have been a disaster!!Many Dr's tried fighting it. More medication errors. Some things aren't in the "system" to chart.. It's extremely sad.
