- To get to the salt pans you have to pass through the Nata bird sanctuary, which is home to over 165 species of birds and are the breeding grounds for over 250 000 flamingo's every year. The Makgadikgadi Pans are some of the biggest salt pans in the world, you can even see them from the satellite's in space. This experience was amazing!!!

Great place there. Just moved there August 2020 for work. Work for Botswana Ash where we 'mine brine, that is a sodium chloride-rich solution from wellfields all around the pans to produce soda ash and salt. The scenery and wildlife are out of this world. Beautiful Botswana 🇧🇼

I am from Botswana. I’m glad you enjoyed your visit. I remember travelling to Kasane from Francistown almost ten years ago. So I do know Nata, however, I have never been to the pans. I come from Mochudi, which is one of the southern most places in Botswana near the capital. How long are you in Botswana for? Should we expect more videos of you in Botswana?
