John I appreciate your videos so much my friend. The trouble being is I am not getting much work done here at the old office. HAA H AA . Thank you Sir. You are making a big difference in my playing. Travis in Ky.
Ms5 Hey, you're welcome. There are no stupid questions when you are tyring to learn something. Any song that has bluesy feel, like Nine Pound Hammer, for instance, would be a good tune to try these licks in.
I've been trying to learn some bluesy licks for a long time...I just learned these...Thanks a lot!!...Could you give an example of what songs to use them in? Is that a stupid question?
Great video, John. I've been working pretty hard on backup the last few weeks. Can you give me a song where I might find this lick here in? I'd like to listen how JD uses it. When, where, coming into it, out of it, etc. Thanks
Mike I would say listen to about any JD recordings from the last 30 years, seriously, haha. You will spot these JD ideas everywhere from the old New South days, to the Bluegrass Album Band to his last band
This is in the Key of F, un-capoed. Those string bends aren't that hard, notes wise. Its in the execution of them that's the tough part. Message sent to you.
great way to spend breakfast - thanks again John, now off for some practical practise :)
