Have had the same situation in my career as well with the game not registering that it is a wet track which has to be a bug that needs to be fixed. Also, for wet races over time you will see a dry race line start to be created which will give you a more grip staying within the dryer part of the track. i always usually start on wet tires and once the dry race line gets made i start looking to pit for inters and take them to the end of the race. I think wets were the play to start and switch over to inters once the dry racing line was visible. has worked for me tremendously. Ive noticed also that keeping an eye on tire temp and noticing if the tires are overheating will let you know if you have to get off those tires or not.

Noted! I could tell instantly it should have been wets, first race I've done and managed to somehow survive!

@@stgrimmy1692 i would say switch the qualifying to short, i just tried it today and it lets you choose wets and drys and you wont have the issue of being on slicks when its pouring rain lmao
