Thank you for your review on the new Lancôme Teint Idole Ultra Wear Care and Glow Foundation and I will definitely try this Foundation soon. The expiration date on the back shows that it expires on that date when not yet used. When it is open and used it is good to use for 12 months after opening so even if the Foundation is unused for a few months before its expiration date it is still good to use for 12 months. I hope this helps.

So the shelf life is “ from the moment you open the bottle “ and the expiration date is till when the foundation is good to use with bottle seal .
So if you buy the foundation in march of 2023 with expiration date January 2024 the 12 month shelf life is not valid you can use it only for 10month . But if you buy the foundation in July 2022 you can use it for the 12 month of shelf life only even if the expiration date is 2024 !
Is like with food products, a bottle of milk would have expiration date in 3 weeks ; but if you open it you have to drink that milk within a week if not it goes bad .
