Electoral Bond was a way for political parties to get money without revealing the donor's identity. But, the Supreme Court, struck down the Electoral Bond and ordered the SBI to make all the transactions to public.

Political funding has always existed, and is there in each and every country, a bond seems a much better option, otherwise it will revert back to cash which is way worse and will be undocumented.

I really laugh when people mention electoral bonds. They think the central govt is helpless in front of the supreme court.
Central Govt can literally throw Supreme court's verdict into dustbin if they are really irked. Rajeev Gandhi demonstrated this power in Shah Bano case.
This incumbent Govt also demonstrated power by overturning Chandrachud's verdict in case of who has power over bureaucracy in Delhi. CJI said that Kejriwal has power over bureaucracy but Modi govt kicked his order & restored powers of Lt. Governor.
If Centre was really scared of expose of their so called scam. They could've thrown electoral bonds verdict into dustbin. But Centre allowed SBI to reveal the donors. It shows Modi govt is still confident that electoral bonds is not a scam.
Moreover, SC didn't declare it's a scam. They just wanted the donors to be revealed. Every major party got crores of funding, so how the heck these people blame only BJP lol.
