As a 43 year old man living in LA at the time was unbelievable! And awesome at the same time. Los Angeles was alive after the 92 riots and and when Dr Dre came with that chronic album oh it was like living in the movie. Great and sad times back then R.I.P EAZY-E!

A great movie that I had to see multiple times in the theater. I do feel that it dogs Eazy in the post-NWA era...he wasn't sittin in his car cryin because The Chronic was so big...he was makin MONEY off The Chronic. And he was still makin big moves. His most successful solo releases came after NWA, he discovered Bone Thugs (barely mentioned in the movie), and he definitely wasn't havin to downsize his crib. They kinda make him look like a bum, and Dre like a superhero, so it's a very biased movie...but the filmmaking is so fire, I ain't really mad...just a bit disappointed that they didn't give Eazy his true shine, even as they end the movie with a tribute to his memory.
The first CD I ever got was "CHRONIC" by "Dr Dre", then of course I got "CHRONIC 2001" years later! SHOUT OUT FOR DR DRE!

I remember the LA riots and being close to it at 13 years old and from that point on I realized one thing black people who are in America are not we're just black people who happen to live in America
