- Ever heard of Santo Stefano di Sessanio? It wouldn't be surprising if you hadn't heard of it, as this medieval Italian village was about to become a ghost town. But then a millionaire came to the rescue to save this picturesque place. In an effort to revive the village, he set up guest rooms all over town. DW reporter Diana Piñeros spent one night there. Here’s what she made of it.
Santo Stefano di Sessanio lies in the hills of Abruzzo, about two hours drive from Rome.

Thank you Diana. If anyone's interested in hard core Italian history (especially Medieval), I hotly recommend Schwerpunkt's videos series
Bravissima, Diana.
Speaking Spanish to Italians.... 😅 así es.
@DW Why don't you guys show these beautiful travel videos on DW's English TV channel ? I'd love to watch these travel videos on cable TV ♥
The only difference between a hotel manager and the hotel owner is that the owner has the capital.
Then the manager is being interviewed praising the owner, how visionary he was. The owner is never interviewed praising the manager and his vision. Money brings respect 😂

I thought he was Freddy Prince Jr 🤦🏽♂️
Hola Diana! Cuando hablabas con los Italianos en castellano, te entendian?
Hola Tom! Así es :) Fue interesante hacer entrevistas español-italiano.
@@diana_pineros_journalist Que bueno!! Me encanto!! Yo creci en Argentina desde el 1965 hasta el 1976!! :)
I wish this was done by an Italian female. She isn't. :( It messed up the whole Italian (Italy) essence (its missing in the video! such a shame!)
