They did have women's only events. Langford and Paris were excellent events and well attended.

7s isn't really that big in NZ unlike 15s if NZ took 7s seriously it would be over for everyone else lol

NZ 7s & Fiji have been the 2 best 7s nations over the world circuit history, things have inevitably evened up across a number of participating nations now with proffesionalism but the Kiwis are still up there.
So yeah, imagine if they did take 7s seriously.
Also, I'm only commenting on the talk of disappointment as a response to NZ being removed from the world circuit.
