While stationed and living in Rota Spain, which is a town near Jerez De La Frontera, I've learn to love and dance "Sevillanas"!! But the Paso Doble is such an elegant and beautiful dance that I wished I learned how to dance it!! Before I learned about the Paso Doble I was infatuated with the Tango, which I still love, but the Paso Doble just blows everything else away!!!!
Started looking for paso doble videos after watching the movie "Strictly Ballroom"...and felt none of the male dancers danced as good as the father of the girl in the movie. I've heard that the male dancer represents the matador de toros who is risking his life for glory. So why would any matador de toros waggle his hip dancing like a dandy? It's a dance of life and death! The steps are supposed to be manly by nature. So glad to find this video. Finally found a dancer who truly understands the SPIRIT of paso doble and thinks of himself as a warrior rather than a peacock. Amazed by this beautiful dancing style. Love the way the two dancers interpret the dance. Thanks for sharing the great work.
Bravo! Ole ole! Beautiful, natural, strong postures without this annoying exaggeration displayed by many ballroom dancers. Right rhythm of movements, constant interaction between the man (strong and self-contained) and the woman (strong, but very feminine) - real pleasure to watch!

Aunque el paso doble no es tan fàcil como parece, para mi es suave y delicado ya que lo bailo muchos años y muchas veces sola ya que mi pareja tiene dos piernas izquierdas 🤣😄🤣 Igual yo sigo bailando, como en estos momentos en mi cocinita para no perder la costumbre. The name of the first melody is “España Cañí “, like you point out and it is indeed played by a mariachi band. I am not sure who plays the second melody.
The song is from Spain but the Mexican Mariachi is the one playing this Particular pasodoble " espania cani" Many prefer the Mexican Mariachi for pasodoles because it brings out more Joy ,Bravia, sentiment and is strong. The Spanish band is more quite and not with joy or sentiment. You have to under stand the Mariachi was born in Mexico not Spain. We also have Pasodobles composers just like Spain has not as many but we have them . We have made many pasodobles for Spain such as "Granada"and "Malaguena"mexican version. Many think Granada song is from Spain but is not. The great pasodoble composer fromn Mexico was "Austin Lara "made Granada for Spain plus more then 20 more pasodobles. It's our mother country so we have many things in common and share.
