- Whistler Bike Park just opened and I was there with my 300mm boostmonster bike to check out how the mountain is riding!
This is just a simple raw cut of one of the more fun laps down the mountain that was open at this time, there are a number of trail closures. And it was also a bit dry already! Which was too bad :(

oh my gosh. i've been riding all my life including BMX and downhill mountain bikes and i'm so impressed by how much you push it but still have full control the whole time. You're an amazing natural rider and look like a legit pro and i'm constantly like "Wooooaah- ooh" like you're about to hit something but then you just ride through it like its nothing
Looking good. I’m heading to whistler on 10th of June for the very first time from New Zealand.
Keep in mind that the Fitz-Simmons lift will be closed.

Three big takeaways from opening day:
1. Freaky dusty! Like, August dusty. Remember last May, freezing in 6 degrees and drizzle on Fitz chair?
2. Breaking bumps: where did these come from?? They weren't bad at all, but it was hilarious chattering over a few at 10:30 a.m. on Whismas!
3. Lift lines .... SO much shorter than expected (I don't think I waited more than 15 minutes). Also, the gondola stuffing wasn't all that bad. Everyone was in the same boat, trying to load and unload with a minimum of public embarrassment!
ya I was honestly kind of annoyed with stuffing in 4 people in the gondola the whole time! I think some of the braking bumps stick around from the previous year I think
Small lift line because aline is closed enjoy while it lasts.
Well I should be fine with the gondola when I go there in August. My normal park is Trestle, which uses a gondola like that for the main lift.

Deer valley planning June 16th but I’d expect closer to July with current snow!
ya but in canada in a month there will only be 6 weeks maybe of good weather until another 6-8 months of snow

Local BC guy here wanting to get into riding just not sure what bikes are good to start with. Likely in the budget for a hardtail bike. Sick riding hope to hit Whistler some day.

How was it soooo dry? For future reference, when is the best time to go to whistler and have all the trails "probably" open? I assume at the start of the season alot are closed to work on them?
August is probably the best time for them to all be open. Early September might be the next best option.

I HAVE THE SAME BIKE a Norco A-Line DH stock mint contdition idk if i should ride it or keep it since its only got leafe scratches sort of torn save or ride its my only DH bike HELP
Why would anyone ever waste money on a jeep when you could have a mountain bike? You can get to so many more places on a mountain bike than you can with a motor vehicle, jeeps are a joke. Oh, unless of course you want to take grandma and grandpa out for a little joyride.
